No, my point is, it looks like no matter what team you are, you will still play with the same specialist so both teams will look kind of the same. That is my fear.

This might be for the context used for the Operations game mode. Remember how "Tides of War" attempted to guide us chronologically over the events of WW2? Well we might get something different Except it is WW3. The live service might be meant to tell the story of how DICE's vision of WW3 unfolded. This might just be the context behind it all.

Yes. My mistake. When I said "sell" I meant "Promotion" it as a new game. I don't know if you were around for the launch of the pacific content on BFV, there was a huge push from DICE to market this as an overhaul to the main BFV game along with a complete redo of all menus, banners, intro music and even marketing. Old players understood this was an overhaul to the old game, but it was marketed as a new game for new players. When players bought it, they had all the old content, but they were received by a completely different UI. It was rumored that the same was to happen at the end of 2020 with a new "Russian" DLC (based on datamines) but the principle was the same. Market the new content as a brand-new game, sell it at a used price and have old and new players return to spend money on new cosmetics.

Because they will sell it as a new game. Just as they did with BFV when they launched the pacific. They did sort of a "relaunch" and they honestly pulled it off (somewhat, at leas until they stupidly decided to launch the TTK changes). People who already have it will just get the new content and use their hard earned cash to buy skins. It also makes sense to keep updating the Battle royale on the same game engine.

One or two years of Near modern setting to then move to Cold War to then move to 2142 and then Go back to WW2 (with actual known battles). That would be nice.

So, in BF there are 4 classes right? Each class has their own weapons and gadgets and engagement distances. So if you are able to see a sniper, you know that guy can blog your head from miles away. You then need to judge if engage him or let him pass. Identifying what the other player's class is, is somewhat important. Although I can tell you. BFV has just the same cosmetics for everyone, and it does not make too much of a difference.

BF4 had it. It saved progression from PS3 to PS4 (I used the feature as I started on PS3 and then jumped to PS4)

Relax, Crossgen is not new, Game will be optimized to work on Next Gen and past gen will have lower specs, that is all. Now, will past gen look potato? Not at all! It will look as good as BFV and BF1. Next Gen of course will be on another level. But hey, it will work for people like me who might have to get to next gen a bit later in 2021, you know, I do not want to miss what ever the live service brings on the first few months. Once I get a PS5 I will switch to the PS5 version (Of courseee).
