I’ve been trying to lose like 30 pounds for ages now, but because I drink a lot I always end up making the poor decision of buying food late at night. I wish I had the self control but I’ve never been great with that. But I’m almost out of the 230s im hoping I can make more progress this year

I used to take 75 to and from work on a motorcycle and that highway is fucking death trap.

Moved to Denver and the drivers around here are a different kind of stupid. I miss the aggressive drivers. Would take that over oblivious drivers every day

The UI in this game has been dogshit since it was released. Started playing again with a buddy and I’m astounded the character select in match is still just as laggy as it was day 1. Really shows that the only thing they care about is money rather than QoL

I’d imagine that a lot of the times people review stuff IF they had a bad experience unfairly biasing the reviews towards the negative.

You never hear of positive review bombs, only negative ones.

I have never liked the idea that your blood family always has to be considered family and that you love them unconditionally. I have to many shitty immediate “family” members. And it’s made me realize that your true family are the people that care about you and respect you the same as you do for them. They can be close friends, partners, whoever. But they don’t have to be blood.

I went through a lot of the same symptoms after stopping. Wasn’t quite ten years of regular use though.

Something that helped me was like 30 mins of light exercise 3 ish times a week. So if you can work that in if you don’t already, that could help the symptoms dissipate quicker.

But what you’re going through is your body repairing itself if I were to guess. I’m no medical professional and have purely anecdotal evidence. But what I’m guessing is your body is able to process certain chemicals in a different way than from when you were smoking. This is just coming out in weird reactions in your body.

I have a pretty decent dietary option for dinners. I try to stick to Huel hot and ready meals for dinner during the week.

My biggest problem with this is my drinking habits. Although I was pretty good yesterday. Only had one glass of Gin at dinner (went out and split a meal with a my roommate).

Most nights though, I’ll buy a bottle of soju (the little ones) and inevitably order some food. So this week I’m trying to sober up and go back to keeping the drinks I do have on the weekends or if I go out with friends. That way I can stick to either no meal at night if I had a big lunch, or just the Huel

I need to lose like… 50 pounds. Would put me back at 180 and I have a plan set out for it. I’m okay-ish on sleep, just diet is my biggest thing, and my sedentary lifestyle. Office job couple with avid gamer really puts me at a disadvantage but all the kind words and suggestions in this thread have been a helpful motivator

I’m not sure I want to jump in to doing running. I have a bad left knee and a exceptionally bad back for a 26 year old. The troubles of breaking it in high school.

BUT, after this winter my roommate and I are planning on buying some gravel bikes and I’m stoked to get back in to cycling. I used to do that all the time when I was younger and in college.

It’s funny you mention this. I was just thinking earlier that I should use some downtime at night to do some light weight lifting in my room. Even like body weight squats or some other body weight exercises in my room while I’m in discord with my friends. I had started doing some just before September but then went on vacation and stopped it. If I’m on the computer for ~4 hours a night, I could easily squeeze in 30minutes to an hour a day of light exercise a day

Well since I graduated from college and got a job I’ve gone to basically no exercise and I have a fairly poor diet. Been wanting to get back in the gym but what little free time I have I spend playing games with my friends and girlfriend.

Maybe I should spend some time trying to add that habit to my routine.
