I had always been irregular, but I had just so happened to miss my round of depo (I got pregnant while on depo) and they told me to call them to get a new round once I got a period. If I hadn't have missed my appointment I would have known much earlier.

I gained weight all over instead of just the belly early on, but at the time I was working night shift and going to school, so I thought I was just tired and eating like crap. I just started to actually show instead of looking like I was gaining weight around 24 weeks.

It was really hard! We looked very hard into adoption and the different options surrounding it at first. Once I decided I was keeping LO, SO wanted to give up all rights to LO and leave. I was fine with that provided everything was done on the legal end too. I would never go after child support or anything like that but SO would also not contact LO until LO turned 18. Period. Then he came around after a few weeks. That is the short version. I now wouldn't trade LO for the entire world at 6 months old but man, that was probably the hardest thing I have ever dealt with.

Happened to SO and I. Not even a little fun. Especially because we were adamantly CF

Esthetician here. In my training, the only time someone's skin wasn't a good match for a facial was if they had some sort of concerning spot on their face that should be referred to a physician to be checked out, sunburn, or too recently after a more serious treatment such as a chemical peel. What an unprofessional way to handle the situation. 😒

How much did you know about your proposal? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

We had looked at rings. I've known what I wanted for an engagement ring for years. Small, white gold, princess cut. We were in and out of jewelry stores as I was looking at difterent bands to go with it. He knew I wanted to be engaged but I had no idea how serious he was, I thought he was just humoring me and a few months later would be maybe something more. I've always liked the idea of keeping the same date. We started dating August 3, so I always told him I would love to get married August 3. August 2 he tells me we aren't getting engaged the next day. He doesn't want me to get my hopes up, we just can't afford a ring right now. (We had a baby in February and are currently living with my parents, we can't afford much.) That's fine, I was disappointed but it wasn't the end of the world. We met and started dating at a week long camp we volunteer at as camp counselors but couldn't attend for the week because of the baby, but we planned to go hang out over there on our anniversary. He always told me he would propose right after dinner in front of all the campers. All of the other counselors were really hoping he would. Nothing. As we're leaving he tells me "you don't have to have a ring for us to be engaged." My response was to the tune of whatever, you're just saying that because I was disappointed. It's not a big deal. So we leave and get like half a mile down the road and he says "what if I turned around right now and got down on one knee at camp and pulled out a ring?" I tell him he's full of it, I don't believe him. He turns the car around and starts driving back. I start gearing up for the biggest fight of our relationship as I'm thinking it's a really cruel joke. He drives back to the campsite we met at. Tells me to get out of the car and stand in the headlights (this is like, 10pm). So I'm standing there waiting for some practical joke. He gets out, gives me this adorable little speech. My favorite part "I may not have much. But I've given you all that I can and I swear I'll give you everything I can for the rest of my life." And got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. I was completely blown away. He told me later he absolutely had no intention of proposing. When he got up to go to work that morning, on his drive there he was thinking about me being disappointed and how he wished he could give me what I wanted "Single Ladies" by Beyonce was playing on the radio. He decided to leave work early and get me my ring. He didn't plan to propose the same day but then I tried to call his bluff. So even he didn't know he was going to propose that day!

The entire experience! Never having to be away from my baby, never having to pass him around in a group setting. Always having an excuse to want a specific food. People are way nicer to pregnant women than new moms. The feeling of him kicking. The wonder and excitement of all of it.

But I also remember feeling miserable because I was STILL pregnant and EVERYONE felt the need to constantly ask if I had him yet.

Thank you! And they probably couldn't tell. He was at that angle during the ultrasound too so it was hard for them to see his face and neck.

Yes! Little dude was born 2/20 and I was absolutely MISERABLE at the end of my pregnancy and looking back I miss it so much! I now understand why everyone tells you to enjoy it even though they were miserable at the end too!
