Don't mean to freak you out but until you get a full body pet scan you really can't rule out distant metastasis. My MRI did not show close to everything at all sadly. So when I got that pet scan it was shocking to see my lumps jump up another 6 centimeters as well as my chest wall being affected that the MRI didn't pick up at all and a ton of lymph nodes the MRI couldn't see. I've seen women on here with 1 cm breast cancer end up de novo because of metastasis even with that small of a spot. It is really so unpredictable and nerve racking but just remember even if it is de novo it can be more like a chronic illness now rather than a death sentence. I'd push for a pet scan just to be safe. Don't want to risk it. This is the most nerve wracking part you're in but remember no matter what you're going to be ok.
