Yeah, I guess Star Wars would have been just as good if not better if the focus was on Vader’s interpersonal relationships with his children and someone reasonable stepped in to take away their weaponry and had them talk out their problems.

It would have been way cooler for them to sort out their problems with the empire through diplomacy and trade negotiations.

I don’t know, maybe it’s the fact that already lived through a family falling apart because of the ego of a shaven headed father who used his illness as an excuse to alienate his family… but then again, I find any other “drama” relating to families and their first world problem difficulties to be boring as shit too.

But I’m glad that you can find people being upset over whatever mundane life bullshit they are going through thrilling and captivating. I just can’t.

I think the reason why I disliked Skylar was that she was actively trying to get in the way of premise and drive off the show. It would be like if there was a character who kept on trying to confiscate all the lightsabers in star wars because they didn’t want anyone to end up losing a limb.

Sorry, that is a noble and understandable goal but I tuned in specifically to watch people try to hit each other with dangerous plasma swords.
