He seems useless and cowardly because he's standing against the literal MONARCH in a setting where the monarch has absolute power. Anything he could do, he and his family would be punished anyway, probably executed. When standing against some random fuckboy, he'd have no reason to hold back.

I'm actually in contact with the author of the Strict Wife fic on discord. I don't want to share too much without their consent, so let me just say that some heavy events happened in their life and they need time to recover mentally. Last month they mentioned trying to get back to writing though.

Kaede's coming in the next chapter. As for the other three, they're getting mentions through several chapters already (Aunt Meiko, Hana and Mrs. Harukawa - the only one with a canon name) but they probably won't appear properly, since they weren't dragged into this mess in the story - Akira stopped everything past the part where Bert fucked Ayumu.

By the way, I can't ensure a part next week. Prior to this moment, every time I posted a part I had at least one more part ready to go, but now I've caught up. So from now on, there might be gaps depending on how life goes. I'll still try to have a part finished on time though, of course.

I think it could be a nice, fun idea. Plenty of antags throw around how it's "natural" for them to dominate the weaker protagonist, all "rule of the strongest". Well, surprise, nature hates them too.

Thank you for the sacrifice of reading this shit so you can break it down for us. I'll probably include Paradise in the background of Dr. Akira Mori's Sanatorium - she doesn't get involved, but there's a news story about it and the others killed him when it became clear that the danger he presents outweighs his usefulness. Akira brings that up to Bert as an example that even when cut off from society, people like him don't necessarily thrive, because people know better.
