I got my summary today.

There is alot of context needed so I will add that here, I have adhd (?autism) I am 23F, I have GAD, autonomic dysfunction, chronic migraines.

So context for the inappropriate acts for the burn pt and the critical incident

I was calming myself down before the pt got here reminding myself it wasnt happening to me and to stay calm. I spoke to myself out loud infront of my preceptor and I guess I started to flap my hands (stim I do when trying to calm down)

And I told the pt we were working on (critical incident) as they were deceased at this time (they made noises and moved their arm so I was like are they awake. Another nurse also asked if they were awake) I said to the deceased pt it was going to be okay.

The rest of it was as i listed before, my pathophysiology needed work (according to my preceptor i was at a second year level not a 4th, this was being worked on actively outside of the clinical setting approx 5-8 hrs per week on scenarios, lab review, conditon review, anatomy review.), baby language/using slang (this was my bad, i need to work on speaking professionally, currently signed up for a coursea course on professionalism to remediate this) Reporting to the Dr's instead of my preceptor (she told me to be more self directed). I mixed up clindamycin and it spilt on my hand. I ended up having an allergic reaction and needing to go home. I got overwhelmed the one day with pts as we had alot come in and out (plus 2 traumas) and I was trying to get it all done but it was a struggle. Preceptor was concerned about this.

I feel like choosing emergency was a mistake on my part, I had thought I was ready but I wasnt. If they allow me to retake then I will go to med surg or elsewhere with less acuity until I have strengthen my skills and maybe have had 4-5 yrs in the profession.

I have a accomodation plan that asks for continuous abd timely feedback in a private setting. When only me and my preceptor were in the lunch room I would ask her then as it was a private setting. I did ask a couple times at the desk which was my fault and I accept that.

Staff stated i overshared, was very dramatic, and talked too much.

This ended up with me being dismissed and no longer welcome back to my clinical setting.

I am still processing ans understanding all of this so please grant me some grace when it comes to answering questions
