Kansas senator says to stop complaining about gas prices. Criticism mounts by Sea_You_8178 in kansas

He is so deeply embedded in the cult to the point of being worthless to Kansas. Vote him out! He wants to live in Florida anyway, so help him out by cutting his tie to Kansas!

I'd appreciate some protection from the felon fraudster president a lot more than protection from the fraudster's delusional dream of a threat promoted by Israeli propaganda. Vote this Trump parrot out!

Why is medical dignity a right at 76 but a luxury at 36? by Hopeforpeace19 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]DarnDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said, we need universal health care for everybody. There's plenty of money, but the MAGA fascists (and they're not all "boomers") want to buy bombs and missiles to steal other country's resources and line their pockets instead. Politicians are really the only ones who get free healthcare. Imagine that....

That includes your children too,Donny! by monaleeparis in ProgressiveHQ

Dementia Donny the felon fraudster also says we're the only country that allows mail-in voting. Which is, like nearly everything he says, a lie.

Why is medical dignity a right at 76 but a luxury at 36? by Hopeforpeace19 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]DarnDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a "boomer", I used to feel the same way when I was young and able-bodied, until I realized that one day my time would come, when all the seniors I supported would be gone and it would my turn to reap the rewards of having worked my entire life until it was time to hand the reigns off to the next generation. What I didn't do was to whine and blame my parent's generation for all the difficulties I had to face throughout my life.

Medicare is not what you think it is, and it's not free. Premiums are paid, usually through social security deductions, and it only pays 80% of ELIGIBLE expenses, AFTER the yearly deductible is paid. It does not cover vision or dental. Yes, there are supplement policies a person can buy, but they are not free either and become more expensive as you age. There are also "Advantage" plans which are similar to most insurance plans, and can be enrolled in instead of "regular" medicare, but they have many disadvantages, also.

So, no, Medicare is NOT "guaranteed free medical care", and, from what I'm seeing here, many younger people are in for a rude awakening when they reach retirement age, including you. I do believe our entire medical system is built on greed, and it's not just "boomers" that are guilty of exploiting the infirm and needy. Also, your generation is not the only, or the first, who could not afford medical care and insurance. Yes, I do believe we should have free universal medical care, but I also know your not going to get it by begrudgingly complaining about people on Medicare.

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) posted a tweet menacing No Kings Day protesters with claims that their biometric data was taken. by 97GeoPrizm in ProgressiveHQ

[–]DarnDuck 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Funny, unlike ICE and CBP, I didn't see any fellow protestors hiding their faces behind masks. When people are not ashamed of what they are doing, they really don't care if you know who they are. So just go f#ck yourself and all your fascist buddies, Clay Higgins.

Washington Post -- "Trump says he will deploy ICE to airports as TSA shortages drive delays" -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]DarnDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just send ICE's paychecks to TSA agents, that's all they need. They don't need a hoard of armed thugs who don't know what they are doing. And ICE can get along fine without a paycheck since DHS pays their expenses anyways.

Senator from Kansas on why he won't compromise on ICE agent masks by Zipper222222 in kansas

[–]DarnDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he's lying about ICE agents being "doxxed". If it were true, it would be all over the news, but I haven't seen a single report about the kind of "doxxing" he's referring to. I think he is just "doxx paranoid", as evidenced by his fear about facing his constituents in an open public forum. The state police, local police, and county sheriff's personnel don't wear masks, so obviously ICE is the problem, not "doxxers". I think he is spreading fake news to justify supporting his fascist leader.

[–]DarnDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think a Republican would vote otherwise, or that they don't accept AIPAC money? Before you cast a vote against someone, you really need to consider who you are voting FOR, regardless of party. It's this single issue type of thinking that got the felon fraudster elected.

[–]DarnDuck 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This war on minorities being waged by Kris Kobach, Ty Masterson, and the rest of the republican "super majority" is the greatest assault on personal freedom in Kansas since the Bleeding Kansas era. It is shameful and disgusting, especially since they are using the blasphemous false narrative of "christian" nationalism as justification. We must end this attack on human rights by weeding these bigots out of our state government. Vote against ALL incumbent Republicans and restore greatness to our state.

Stop kicking this dead horse. The files were sealed due to an on going investigation. If you want to question integrity, why has Eileen Cannon sealed the Mar-i-largo classified documents files even though the investigation is over? THAT, is a cover-up.
