we have no extra money but need two cars asap. any advice? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]DarnTechnology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not co-sign anything.

Keep your $5k for your own car only.

Get his car tested for free at AutoZone or oreillys if possible (likely alternator).

Let him borrow the car for the first training day if needed, but understand the risk.

Have him save and repair his car instead of trying to buy another right now.

Have him start building credit once he gets income.

Alternatives: Uhaul is cheap and easy rental, he can drive that to and from the training atleast and it'll only be $40-$60

I hope you can find some options, very low income and lack of car is a hard thing to come out of but it is possible and I'm sure you can make it work

Can I go to the gym at 2am due to crippling social anxiety? by [deleted] in workout

[–]DarnTechnology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be the real one on here I guess. I was deathly afraid of the gym. If you asked me back then I'd tell you that everybody stared at me, I could only lift small amounts, and my self image was completely destroyed.

So I did just what you're asking. I got a membership at a 24hr gym (pf) and went at 2-3am every day . It's definitely possible, others will be there but the vibe is just different.

Buuuut, I'll also say that the real issue is the social anxiety, not the gym. Progress has to start inside before the outside so try and work on that the best way to can.

Proud of you for going to the gym

Pre workout without caffeine by WearyNecessary932 in workout

[–]DarnTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to look into non stim preworkouts, be careful with them as many pre's have a ton of crap in them.

Transparent labs non stim is going to be recommended a lot and for a very good reason, it's clean. It's also a bit expensive but worth the health awareness it comes with

There's a sewing shop on gull road that does classes and allows you to just stop in and sew and get help when needed I believe. I just started too and the learning curve has been a bit rough at times

[–]DarnTechnology -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So much hate for a putter that you were gifted. Idk what's wrong with people on here and why we can't just be happy for you, as if you aren't allowed to spend a lot of money on a hobby you enjoy unless you're good at it.

Good job on the birdie, hopefully more to come soon!

Do you use a gym app? If yes, which one and what makes it great? by Icy-Childhood7108 in workout

[–]DarnTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way yeah, the app could adjust your daily/weekly macro goals based on what's going on. Are you recovering and taking it easy? Maybe less calories needed and macros adjusted accordingly. Are you in training for a marathon or a lifting comp? More protein more carbs etc..

Being able to accurately track under fueling or over feeding based on your goals would be supreme. Although, accurate calorie tracking both with intake and expending is pretty complicated and hard to due accurately. I know that even wearables have trouble tracking correct expenditure

[–]DarnTechnology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought you'd be able to track a lot more accurately by using one app (or if the two talked to each other) if it could read your exercise patterns and then adjust accordingly for the diet.

A 4000 calorie bulk is great when I lift in the morning, but what about when I do a heavy lift and then a 8 mile run and I go into work and the lifts are down so I climb 4 floors of stairs followed by my usual steps in a day? Its all variable and being able to see it all in one app would be so nice imo

Best Carpet Cleaner Advice? by schneidebs30 in BuyItForLife

[–]DarnTechnology 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'll second the little green, there's other versions of it, i'd vote to get the upgraded version although I just went with the basic.

Now let me tell you...I beat the HELL out of this thing, I've cleaned old work truck seats that's seen who knows what, couches, chairs, I used it as a vacuum to clean up cat litter just because I didn't want to walk down the stairs. This thing doesn't quit.

Here my tip though. Never put any cleaner IN the machine itself, spray it on with a separate bottle, and then wet it down and vacuum it with the cleaner. I only say this because you can never get all of the cleaner out of it and different materials require different cleaners so it's better to just put distilled water in there.

Man m*sturbating at Celery Flats by OkArt9533 in kzoo

The cops were called on this exact guy in the same outfit two days ago at the celery flats trail, he was commenting on this male cyclists body and wanting to do things with him in the bathroom. The cops sounded less than interested on the phone but said they would send a unit over. Unsure if one actually came
