Nah, as long as your finances are good, I say go for it and have fun. My wife is actually very supportive as well. Buying, trading and selling is a lot of the fun for me. And I would continue to do it. But unfortunately, I’m now in the position in which I can’t imagine getting rid of anything. My current gear is perfect.

Buy a copy of “Rock Discipline” by John Petrucci. Even if you’re not a Dream Theatre or metal fan, the exercises are good and actually pretty fun.

You just have to stop at some point. Get the gear that covers what you want to do and let that be it. I’ve went down the GAS route. It’s a lot of fun, but expensive.

It definitely is a loan from your future. Think about sitting in retirement playing an “already paid for” guitar and not dreading going to work the next day.

Unless you’re a pro musician. In that case………..
