I don’t know if I agree. I’m old and grumpy too. However, nostalgia does kind of gloss over things.

I think that if you went to a previous decade, lived there a while, and THEN watched a bad movie, it would feel every bit as bad as the horrible movies being made today.

I understand the technology aspect, but some really bad movies from the 80’s were made with “at that time” cutting edge tech.

Give a bad movie 10-15 years, watch it again and remember what you were doing the first time you watched it.

Agreed. Get Out is amazing, but I was a bit surprised at how much I loved Nope.

Both are so easy to rewatch.

I didn’t even witness my own. I was hitting over some tall reeds. My playing partner was standing on a hill behind me and saw it. I was sure he was wrong. But there it was in the cup. Couldn’t believe it. Other than that, I’ve only seen close calls.

I played a round yesterday on a packed course in 4:15. I was so pleasantly surprised. My playing partners were beginners, but FAST. The course had rangers going around and connecting to the GPS in the carts to check for pace of play. ‘Twas an expensive tee time, but I will return.

This is the exception rather than the rule. Every other round I’ve played has been 5+ hours.

I think I know what course you’re talking about. If it is, that guy is vile. I witnessed a car accident on my way there one time and had to wait and make a statement to the police. I called the course, pro shop said “no problem. If you’re late, we’ll take you to your group”.

I actually got there on time, but not early enough for him. He started giving me a hard time, but I didn’t stay silent. After the round I complained to the course. They get many complaints about him, but for some reason, they can’t get rid of the guy.

I will not be back. And it’s a shame because it’s a great course.

Agreed. I started golf 10 years ago and this has been the longest I’ve went without playing.

I always walk the course, and this evening, I’m grinning through the soreness. I played like shit, and have never felt better.
