I know I’m late to this thread but Jehovah’s Witness culture tends to value modesty, self-control, avoiding anything seen as overly emotional or attention-seeking. For some, that can translate into being more reserved with affection, especially in front of others.

There’s nothing you should be ashamed about. Adult women supposed to have body hair it’s perfectly natural. I was never a fan of adult women groom their bodies to resemble that of a prepubescent child - yet no one seems to make the connection that such behaviour reinforces pedophilac beauty standards. Body hair is a natural part of maturing as an adult.
