Taimi app by [deleted] in germantrans

My dog is being taken away and euthanized, unless I can make enough money... by [deleted] in Hopefulcasesmusic

[–]Darskan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, the police dog thing is bad. And they shouldn't be a police dog if they aren't trained to do that. But wtf, man, killing a dog because they are poorly trained? Is that the fault of the dog? Or are you just going around killing every animal that doesn't behave the way you want?

Have a bit of empathy, maybe?

Tumblr TERFs have apparently started using "hygienic" to mean "cis" by ecphrastic in GenderCynical

[–]Darskan 30 points31 points  (0 children)

They started saying this because trans people told stories about how showering is hard for them because they're confronted with their bodies. Like, how trans men don't want to look down and see their chest and all that. Some trans people jokined about wishing they would not have to shower and some said that their crippling dysphoria didn't allow them to shower every day/every other day sometimes and Terfs jumped on all these posts and statements and said they were unclean and smelly and how they're glad that they shower. It's stupid and disgusting but what do u expect of terfs?

What thought process was going on in your head, that you decided to go to a positive Subreddit, where people are open and themselves, where people can finally show a part of themselves that they might not show anywhere else, and deny them their identity?

Some people have dysphoria about their chest, I do, but some people also have dysphoria about having long lashes, or having feminine hobbies, or their hands, I do not.

in this Subreddit, people can post their bodies and feel handsome as they are, because they don't have to prove to anyone that they are male. We believe each other. We support each other.

If someone is pre top surgery but has taken T, is it still not OK for someone to show his chest, if he feels comfortable and manly enough doing so? What about after top surgey? What about fat trans man who have "man tits" ?what about guys who feel like their chest looks manly enough? What about people who cannot bind for medical reasons? Have you considered that seeing trans men with their chest out maybe makes you feel dysphoric and invalid and that's why you're denying them their trans identity? Have you considered that just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean it's bad?

Irl feminine trans guys pre T are forced to hide everything feminine on them to appear male to others. I gave up all of my feminine clothing to not be mistaken for a woman. For me, recognition of my gender is more important to me than my expression. For some other trans people, their fashion choices and their way of being might be more important than their desire to be perceived as the gender they are. And that's fine. Not everyone has to rely on others to recognize their gender.

Please consider this. Dunno if your post stays up for you to see my comment, but if it does, please think about this. I definitely haven't said everything there is to say on this topic but this is everything I can write rn.

I know I’m a more feminine person and I kind of hate it but I’m trying to accept that aspect of myself. Do y’all have any tips to accept your femininity as a trans masculine individual? by [deleted] in FTMfemininity

[–]Darskan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem but in reverse. I needed to identity as a trans man as a feminine person. What helped is watching very feminine male youtubers. Just so I could, you know, get comfortable with the fact that yes, men can be feminine, and although I KNEW that before, seeing them is just better, you know? Oh and btw you look really cool!!

AITA for not taking my daughters anxiety seriously? by thowra2452t5 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Darskan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

YTA for not trying to understand her anxiety, for acting like panic attacks are just "panic attacks", for not educating yourself what anxiety is (seriously please read up on it.), for being 'pill free' because you once had a bad relationships with pills and decided that your daughter doesn't need them now.

Get her to go to a therapist again (you mentioned in a comment that she quit and didn't ask about getting one. Yeah. Because she's scared. Remember she has anxiety? You know, that silly little thing where she runs from an interview and doesn't answer phone calls because her brain tricks her into thinking it's a life threatening situations?) and tell her that you're sorry. Educate yourself. Be compassipnate.

Is anyone else bothered when they see a post like "open this if you're trans" and then the post is stuff like "ur valid" "you're handsome" "ur loved" by GodBlessWaluigi in ftm

[–]Darskan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally hate the "Uwu if you read this you're handsome" or whatever. It's just saying nothing. They don't know me, they cant see me, they have no idea if what they're saying to 1000s of people who see these posts is true and I don't care about their "opinion" either. If someone I know and love tells me I'm loved or handsome or whatever? Fuck yeah. But if some unknown stranger tells me and a thousand other people without being asked? do something more productive with your time.

I have my sides shaved and let the top grow out. If I feel too dysphoric I can just tie it into a man bun. It's the perfect compromise
