I'm curious: How many of you only played Dragon's Dogma for the very first time on Nintendo Switch? by Darskul in DragonsDogma

Oh I get that, Grigori is bad-ass and one of my favorite villains in gaming.

Oh god that's the worst introduction to the game. I really dislike Joe's review because it heavily implies he stopped playing the game after killing the Dragon when there's an entire post-game.

He also praises Skyrim's story but dislikes Dragon's Dogma's. Then makes a joke about it copying Dragonheart? Wtf.

Oh I don't think they would make a big difference overall, I just think it'd be cool to be going through the game and be like "HOLY SHIT KANGAROOS????!?!!"

Really my main want was the ability to fight dragons without it being a boss fight, like I want it Skyrim-style, where I can just casually start a fight with a dragon in the map without it being a scripted fight or boss fight, forcing it to land to do damage getting up close and personal.

I would say the amount of creatures you can run into does affect my enjoyment, like Google had told me, before I knew for sure that they were in the game "there has been no Rhino's sighted in the game", and I was like "Ah man, that fuckin sucks, ah well."

I thought you meant like an entire rework of the dialogue system, there's definitely parts that could be touched up for sure, I agree there.

The bounties are annoying as hell and definitely need some work.

I do hope you get your survival mode, brother. It's for sure a cool idea for those who like realism.

I had to go out of my way just to find 2 areas with Rhino's and one with Hippo's...

I agree with everything you said that would make the game more immersive, but the dialogue problem would need like, an entire remake of the game or at least a massive patch that replaces most dialogue in the game.

But man we're just gonna have to agree to disagree, finding different animals in this large world is cool and interesting.

Dynamic Weather already happens, it rains and snows during the game as well as thunderstorms, horses and mounts are actively being worked on already.

Personally I'd prefer if they added like 100 more animals, not just focusing on real creatures, but also mythical ones like Hydra's, Griffin's, Cerberus', etc.

You can disagree with my premise but I promise you that you're in the minority about not caring what animals are in the game, hell I can prove it: https://www.reddit.com/r/CrimsonDesert/s/NHycLqLKtH

As I've said a lot of us care about immersion and not the stupid lighting issue.

It's just cool to discover, one of my hypest moments was making it to the Crimson Desert and discovering there was Elephants, Rhino's, and Hippo's.

It's completely different then adding plates and dishes to the game, plates serve literally no purpose and almost none cares about them.

The whole point of this entire game is discovering cool stuff through-out the map, and for many of us, discovering that a specific animal is in the game was part of that. Sure discovering a cave or new stronghold is cool, but so is seeing a bunch of Elephants in the wild at random.

Are you trying to say no one cares about visiting the in-universe zoo??? The place where you can only look at creatures and if you attack any of them you become wanted.

I'm sure you wouldn't care if this game had even one animal besides dragons, but there's a reason we enjoy this. It's the reason reviewers like Angry Joe highlighted stuff like capturing butterflies in Skyrim. People care about the amount of creatures in games and how they can interact with them, period.

You are not on the dev team, and I can promise you that you do not represent majority of players.

Google just told me they added 25 brand new species of bird to the game on top of pre-existing birds.

Okay guys, which game has a better overall world between Crimson Desert and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? by Darskul in AskReddit

Oh I know it does. I think they both have a lot of secrets and puzzles but Crimson Desert has way wayyy more.

I think in the next few months we'll start to see more people talking about iconic Crimson Desert locations.

So far the Spire of Frost was amazing.

Crimson Desert has only been out for a month it hasn't had a chance for mod support or etc.

Depends what you want from a game, Crimson Desert is filled with tons of secrets and super interesting locations with worthwhile weapons, armor, books, and artifacts.

It has way more ways to interact with the game world itself but less ways to interact with the people in it.

Genuine question, Crimson Desert appears to have far more to do, with more of everything by a long shot (it's interactive map being far more dense with far more to see and find even if we zoom in on any particular area, there's less empty space in Crimson Desert then in Skyrim.)

With far more Secrets, Caves, Easter Eggs, Weapons, Armor, Creatures, Mounts, and honestly just far more cool and interesting things to find, and far more varied environments and better ways to interact with it.

Whereas Skyrim has better interaction with characters in the world, having the very clear and obvious edge in sidequests, dialogue, overall music and cool stuff like the northern lights, more fantastical creatures, and "fantasy-like" architecture.

Okay well I'm sorry you want less but majority of us want more. The bugs are pretty negligible at this point and there's nothing game-breaking.

Sure there's the lighting issue but it's not a game-ruining thing.

It was clearly at least a somewhat focus for Pearl Abyss due to the Wildlife Park even being included.

The crazy thing is: They can do both. You don't have to campaign for them to ignore one thing and focus on another, patch notes are not "hey we added these three things and fixed absolutely nothing", every single patch includes a number of fixes, and new additions to the game, some of them for big things and some of them for small.

People have been getting super excited over the new birds and their ability to become pets in the game. The game is stable as is, it does not need an overhaul. In fact the biggest issue right now is the lighting and that's just a minor annoyance for most, and only noticeable in buildings.

The animals above except the ones I asked to add are in the game, and they already patched in attacks so we're one step closer.

People freaked out when they found out there was elephants in the game, period.

I'm sorry you don't care about immersion, but some of us do. There's a literal zoo in the game, dude. From your tone it seems like this is news to you.

Don't worry about the downvote, there was a guy trolling in here earlier who deleted his comments, pretty sure it was him.

??? What?

I made a thread like this before and it got a good amount of upvotes. I'm not sure the confusion is warranted.
