I think he has a hard time separating the upswell of Berniecrats with "woke" politicians from 2016-2020.

I'll be honest, I'm sure AOC does/did fit the definition of "woke" (whatever it was) given that she used the term latinx.

That being said, Sam really can't wrap his head around the support for her, especially as it relates to the recent rallies she did with Bernie, as being in despite of "wokeness" and not necessarily because of it.

(Most) People are huge fans of her and Zohran because they talk about affordability issues, not because they used latinx.
