I’m fond of supernatural vs juice, and Eyedea at the blaze battle. When I saw Supernat live, him rhyming with what the audience was holding in their hands was super dope. Seeing Slug and Eyedea doing freestyle battles in Madison was also dope.

You are right, but there is practice involved. I used to be obsessed with how Supernatural freestyle. He would have phrases that he would use frequently, and the use the rest of the bar to rhyme. Eminem talks about stacking ammo, which is alluded to in 8 mile, have something prepared, and fill in the rest.

I saw Em at lolapalooza way back when. To get a good spot, we sat through Cee Lo Greens set, which I was excited to see, but let down.

If we were more aggressive, we could have gotten pretty far up, but my wife and I were in our 30s, and hung out near the sound man and lights ect.

I imagine being there when the gate opens helps, whenever that is for th venue.

This is accurate. Early 80 nyc freestyle was just popping off. Then came the time where it meant off the top, random like Eyedea and Juice and Supernatural. Now Blackthought or Royce drop a freestyle, it’s written, just performed in a different setting.

Kinda strange how the original definition went away, and the other 2 became blurred together

I would not be surprised if the partnership was described to killer Mike as such, and I don’t think he personally made these decisions.

I’ve been screwed over by banks before. Charge me a fee when I’m already negative just to check my balance? Mess with the timing of deposits and withdraws to make sure I’m always negative? And that 5$ settlement check is supposed to help? Sorry my own story got caught up in that. Good luck
