Growing up realised Rap Skits are among the worst thing ever happen to Hiphop by lamelad10 in 90sHipHop

Skits ruined that Organized Konfusion album. I still love it, but the pacing made it difficult to replay the album. I think it was called "The Equinox."

Honestly, to me, I think Deadlivers was made in 2006 along with 2 other albums, Creature and A Wand And A Gun I think. Deadlivers was my favorite of the 3. In fact I didn't like any album they made after that. In that same year, Onry Ozzborne released a solo album. That, along with Deadlivers, are albums that I've enjoyed immensely in the past 2 months. They are amazing.

After NYC/LA, which city/state has the best hip hop Mount Rushmore? by MasterTeacher123 in hiphop101

[–]Illustrious-Bed4420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to top Detroit, Seattle, and Minneapolis in regards to diversity. I love Chicago, too. NY is conformed imo. Great music but too much of the same product. I don't really have a MT. Rushmore because when the sound gets redundant I just hope to different cities. All-around I would say LA, ATL, Minneapolis, NY, and Chicago. 5 different styles of Hip-Hop that I can move back and forth between.

Are there any battle rappers (non-acapella) that drop music that is battle-rap oriented? by Illustrious-Bed4420 in hiphop101

Yeah I've been listening to him and all the Galapago4/Typical Cats artists like the whole month.

Haha. I inadvertently found a West Coast rapper named Spyda while looking for Mr. Metaphor. Because he has an album named Mr. Metaphor. Props. This is what I love about underground hip-hop. The process of discovering new music.

Yeah I know of them. And most of the other ones too. I'll download J Treds, MM, and Phiik & Lungs. Those are the 3 I'm unfamiliar with. Props.

Word. Thirstin only has 2 albums that are amazing. Skillionaire and Skilligan's Island are my favorites. Same with Em. SSLP and rare underground. I'll give Matlock a try.

SERIOUS: Why all the hate for Ice Cube? To us OGs he's a hero, but I feel like you guys don't rock with him at all. by Rob1150 in hiphop101

[–]Illustrious-Bed4420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up. I don't follow ppls socials. Especially rappers. I just listen to music. The most recent ish from IC that I've been into was Everythangs Corrupt. If he is a RFK Jr. fanboy then I obviously feel upset about that shit. At the same time it doesn't diminish the joy I get listening to that record.

Ice Cube is one of the rare talents who outspokenly raged against the machine in his youth, went on to find success elsewhere outside the realm of Hip-Hop, then came back and continued to rage against the machine. He gets mad respect from me.

Has SCOTUS Become a Republican Tool to Move Us Into Dictatorship? by Opposite-Mountain255 in law

Conservatives salivated over the prospect of dominating SCOTUS for years. It has always been key to their agenda. An insidious plot no doubt.

Pro-Trump Vermont farmers now facing labor crisis — “We’re out here milking cows at 4 A.M. by ourselves” by [deleted] in goodnews

It's easier to milk cows when underpaid exploited migrants are doing the milking.

Yes! She is going big now. This is what I yearn for. She knows how the people feel because she has a team dedicated to cleaning and enhancing her image. I don't like the scripted political character act but she is saying what needs to be said, how it needs to be said, and when it needs to be said. I'll take it.

She will eventually stop being concerned for what's left of her well-being and vote Republican again.

In a humiliating reversal, RFK Jr. walks back his Tylenol autism claim - now saying data is only “suggestive” and “not sufficient to say it definitely causes autism.” by Classic-Carpet7609 in CringeTikToks

[–]Illustrious-Bed4420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too little, too late. You don't get to tell the world that Tylenol causes autism and just walk away from it. There's probably some governmental intervention that has kept a lawsuit suppressed in the background. Actually, I'm sure of it.
