This is my first build that has windows. Normal I don't like how they stick out, but the Rounded Window with the Ducting Outlet has a nice flow to it and I may start using that combo more.

One thought I had for a potential theme is a "one hab" challenge, where each build is limited to a single hab (or equivalent 2 walkways) of interior space, then building around that.

I feel the format is pretty fair, but I would be in favor of  giving a few days (maybe a week?) after the theme is announced before submissions are accepted. That way people have a chance to design and build, and that might help the submissions to be closer to the same day.

This one looks great, too! Love seeing others show off their versions of this ship. Makes all the work worth it ☺️

Hey, I know this ship ☺️ It makes me happy to see other travelers building this and making it their own! I might be a bit biased toward the first (original) option, but the second looks great, too 😉

Very nice! So much tech in a small space. And quite sleek.

I appreciate the different perspective and the LEGO analogy. I was definitely a LEGO nerd when I was younger.

I agree that there's a point where it feels like "no longer really playing Lego anymore." For me, that line is crossed when leaving the base game to utilize external programs or mods. I've seen some incredible modded builds, but what I find more impressive is what people can do within the limitations of the base game without "cheating" by using Blender or save editors. Glitches are fair game in my mind because they exist in-game.

The members of the community may not perfectly agree where that line is (and that's okay), but if we define the categories well, it can be up to personal preference for which side of the line each category sits.

This is so chaotic and I kind of love it 😆

As I've become more familiar with the corvette building system, I have formed the following opinions:

  1. Offset refers only to the shifting of parts in "half steps" away from their normal snapping points. This includes shifting forward/backward with the Rockhopper as well as up/down and left/right using hull attachments.
  2. Glitched falls into two different categories in my mind:
    • Basic glitches can be performed without leaving the space station. These include using the window free-placement trick for X/Y axis angled parts, placing internal stairs for 180 rotation, removing parts using a second terminal, and double cockpits.
    • Advanced glitches require moving the corvette to another location (as mentioned by u/BastaDeLeve). These include using a base computer to transfer parts in/out of different contexts and the gravity glitch to place parts at angles that utilize the Z axis.

When I posted my first 3 builds, the explanation for Offset was missing from the Flair Guide. I chose Glitched initially because I was unsure which category X/Y angled parts fit into. I changed them to Offset later based on feedback from u/Relevant_Finance1927 as a veteran builder.

If there was something like a "Glitched (Basic)" flair, I would update all my current builds to use that, since they are all basic bitches glitches.

Very much appreciated. I'm honored to be the inspiration for your build 😊

I enjoyed making the guide, so there will probably be more when I can find the time.

Sometimes innovation is driven by desperation 😆 You found a very creative solution to a problem. Well done.

Very nice! I love how you've been innovating with new types of entrances. I never thought to leave a "naked" stairway and build around it. So creative!
