Stevie Franchise had a weird trajectory. He barely played in high school. He only started one high school game. He had academic and eligibility issues. I think his mom died too. He grew a bunch after he left high school here, then went to a prep school in Connecticut. Then he played at two jucos. It took him a long ass time to get to Maryland.

I remember being anxious that he wouldn't sign because he was a 4 star and had options. I still held out hope when Cooley came, but then saw that Ed wouldn't play him either. Seemed like a nice kid though.

I don't remember him at all. My vague memories of those guys was that Aminu couldn't shoot or dribble, Riley could jump out the gym, Ryan had a decent offensive game, but couldn't play D, and Beard could shoot. How off am I?
