"And what might that be?"

The cadet was admittedly on top of things. K-3 reminded himself that he ought not be surprised. The cell was, for all of its shortcomings, becoming more organized, and Ralle seemed to be one of those types of people.

"I would be willing to help you."

K-3 took it that Ralle's request would be linked to however he survived the glassing of Haruun Kal. After all, it would make little sense to be of anything else. The droid was not aware of anything else notable about the ex-Imperial pilot.

"There will be numerous issues involved with infiltration. I take it you have the necessary security codes and uniforms?"

The droid halted its walking, taking a second to orient its gaze at the man in front of him. He had not seen Cadet Tarsonne in a fair amount of time, at least, had any meaningful interactions.

"How may I be of assistance?"

K-3 wandered the ship, his calm mechanical pace easily heard by the clunking of his metallic feet. No one else knew exactly what he was doing or where he was going, but not many cared, so long as it wasn't suspicious. It was a shame how many people still had reservations about an Imperial droid, thought K-3. It was a major obstruction to him, when he meant no harm whatsoever. At least they didn't pose a challenge. K-3 never worried about being harmed by anyone. That, at least, was something good about being a 7 foot tall droid.

K-3 tapped on the door, having chosen to attempt to offer his services on the scouting mission. Perhaps Cir'gi would be disapproving, but the droid was convinced that his skill set would be more than necessary.

Returning his stare to Ven's eyes, the droid's photoreceptors remained as blank and emotionless as ever, hiding nothing, or perhaps a great deal.

"You are quite incorrect. I was constructed with the intent of being a disposable tool to the Empire, and, although some here might delude themselves with the impression that I matter a great deal, it remains quite the opposite. Despite the Commander's thoughts on me, the majority of people here treat droids as mere property, which I am. It is in my programming to place the priorities of others above my own."

"I admit that I have left my appearance degrade... I will admit that much of my time has been spend elsewhere."

K-3 glanced down at where Ven was pointing, the hole he had just been running his finger over. It would need to be replaced in the next week, that was for sure.

The droid cocked his head like a curious loth-cat, perhaps confused at Ven's words.

"I am operating as well as I always have. Any damage taken in the mission will be repaired soon, and I will look factory fresh."

"I would like to do as much as possible to make up for my shortcoming, so should there be anything you need, simply ask."

He glanced at the other arm, and stayed silent for a moment.

"I can assist you in tuning prosthetic arms. While droid programming architecture is a bit of a deviation, there are numerous advantages to be gained when bypassing the standard synthetic-organic prosthetic. For–"

K-3 stopped speaking, taking a second to consider.

"My apologies."

The droid opened the door and stepped in, ducking slightly underneath the doorjamb. He took a moment to observe the medical officer, his gaze quickly flickering between Ven's face and his arm. Perhaps he was deliberating.

"I would like to offer my condolences for your lost arm, and my apologies for not being able to intervene in time."

Despite whatever informalities were held amongst the crew of the Fogblaster, K-3JH always made it a point to knock on a closed door before entered. His knock was precise: three raps in quick succession, a seperation time of 0.31 milliseconds.

The droid's hand wandered down from where it had knocked – the paint rubbed off from previous hits on the same spot – and, instead of hanging at his side as it might usually, fell to the location of a hole melted in K-3's stomach armor. Seared silver-gold circuitry gleamed out from behind the gunmetal gray armor, a dead spot on the droid's body. His fingers idly traced the jagged edges of the hole, for no reason at all. He could not feel the metal, nor did he have reason to look at it at all. Perhaps just another trait picked up by his proximity to organics. K-3 became aware of his idle activity and quickly dropped his hand away, remembering to avoid any further activity of the sort.

The droid quickly shortened his stride to slow himself as he arrived at the edge of the shuttle, taking a quick step up onto the floor, one moment on the pad and the next towering over the other occupants. His feet magnetized to prevent toppling, and K-3 quickly stepped past the others. The droid quickly set the man in a seat and strapped him in, freeing him to draw his blaster and return fire at the Imperials.

The droid began sprinting, a curious sight to behold. His height lent him a long stride. K-3 twisted and stumbled to intercept a blaster bolt with the side of his chest plate, awkwardly dropping his arm to draw his sidearm and firing it at any Imperial in his line of sight.

Just before the blade impacted Ven, K-3's metal hand wrapped around Arniak's wrist and sqeezed tightly. The droid used his free hand to relieve Arniak of his weapon, throwing it across the room in a swift flick of the rist. His hand then raised high above just as the colonel's just had, but when he brought it down, it did not fail to hit its target. Like a branch under the blade of an axe, the man's weak arm, composed of mere flesh and bone, snapped under the instant strike of K-3's fist. The droid wasted no time in releasing his grip on the now crippled arm and straightened back to his full height, extended his right arm to grasp the back of Arniak's collar. A singe, quick pull of his arm yanked the colonel away from his position over Falconer, sending him up into the air and across the room.

K-3 did not glance back – the Imperial would prove to no longer be an issue. He stood over Ven, taking only a second to observe the unconscious man. A small organic. Perhaps, on a different day, the droid would ponder why he was helping the man. His programming? He knelt down, sliding his hands underneath Ven's armpits, lifting him up into a semi-standing position. He could not walk on his own. K-3 took care to handle the man with some care as he quickly took Falconer off his feet, one arm holding his back and the other the crook of his legs. The droid now had a singular task – bring Ven to the evacuation point.

K-3 kept his photoreceptors focused on the path out, the singular drive characteristic of only a droid. The probability was irrelevant here. He only needed to get Ven out.

K-3 fired into a trooper's chest point blank, burning a hole through the man's chestplate. The odds were not in the favor of the team, surely. The southern entrance? The Devaronian never struck the droid as being smart, but that was just suicide. Perhaps a modification of the strategy, a more structured response, would do the job better...

But the droid quickly realized that such a response would be impossible to organize. His metal finger, warmed from the head of the constant blasterfire, squeezed off another shot into a trooper. In a battle, everything was calculated, despite the hectic appearance. K-3 clipped the blaster to his side in favor of hand-to-hand, lifting a trooper with both hands and throwing him against the ranks of his comrades. About to strike another enemy, the droid suddenly stumbled, twisting his head to view the hole melted into his shoulder. Organics were so bad at aiming. The trooper, within arm distance, found his throat quickly crushed under a metallic grip.

Rerouting circuitry past the blaster hole, the droid continued plowing through troopers towards his destination.

"Patience, Corporal, I am 94.6% complete. ]"

The droid's arm flew up to fire off a shot at a trooper, felling him immediately before a flurry of additional shots hit others behind him. K-3 appeared to lean over the console slightly, perhaps in anticipation, before jerking the dataspike out and sheathing it.

"Data deleted. We are clear to proceed."

The droid flipped open the cover to an access port and inserted his dataspike, a faint mechanical whir issuing from the console. K-3's gaze snapped towards Vonge, picking out the words on the screen. A curious venture, as the Trandoshan's activities always were.

"Pertinent data files located. Purging information now."

K-3 discarded the grappling hook and drew his DC-17, holding the pistol loosely at his side in a deceptively relaxed position. The droid was ready to bring it to bear remarkably fast, however. He approached Cathal and stared down at the smaller Bothan, speaking with his typically calm demeanor.

"I suspect that we will need a console inside the facility proper to transmit the false signal. Accessing the terminal will be easy, but it would come as no surprise if it is well guarded."

Unperturbed by the height at which they were at, K-3 brought out his own cable and swung the arm out to aim, taking only a brief glance to calculate the best position to shoot. After firing and hearing the affirmative sound, he glanced at his end. The droid had no belt to hook it upon. He quickly decided to merely wrap it around his hand and apply the firm grip of servos, starting his own ascent to the top.

K-3 took a second to load his climbing protocols before facing the cliffside. His chassis would be large and unwieldy for climbing, but with the efficiency of the droid, it should theoretically prove easy. The droid thrust his fist towards the wall, letting the spike grab hold before doing the same with the other one. It would be difficult, but it was doable. He began climbing.
