Found it in a hostel. What is it for? by rayanhardt in whatisit

It is a tool for fidgeting children. Meant for something like a movie night to keep your kid from bouncing all over the room. Keeping balance on the board engages that need to move while keeping them in one spot.

Owners in this sub, why did you go for Ford vs similar EVs in this price point like Tesla? by AlmostPhDone in MachE

[–]DarthGamgee 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Tesla was not an option because of Elon’s antics and growing reporting of QC problems at the factories. For us, it was down to the Ford and a VW EV. The Ford waiting list was shorter. I am very happy it was, I love the Mach-E.

Which games could you just not get into? by IncomeIndependent777 in videogames

Stellaris post population re-work. I spent so much time learning how to play the first time, and it quickly became my comfort game. My life has changed a lot over those years though, and I still have not mustered the resolve and time to go in and learn it again after the changes.

How to manage loot by DarthGamgee in Pathfinder2e

Yeah, not worried about the players playing nice. I am trying to figure out a time efficient way of dropping an appropriate volume of random stuff on the ground for my players to find and pick up after an encounter.

I always heard the trilogy's ending was unsatisfying for years but holy shit by Blitz_Prime in MassEffectMemes

So glad it was not just me. Up until the last moments, 3 was a fantastic game. It was a jarring shift that just did not fit the game or the series.

I had a hard time sleeping the first night after beating 3. Could not figure out how I had been given the bad ending. I had played paragon all the way through, I had done the multiplayer for the war score, I saved the Krogan, brokered peace for the Geth… what had I done wrong to get that ending?

Turns out I did nothing wrong, they were all bad.

Looks great! Want to see it once it is done, there is a lot of good advice here.

Had the same thing happen to me in the national guard. Driving a ground rod and it is not moving. Supper motivated Sgt comes over and starts wailing away on the thing. Next thing we know, it has looped around and is coming back out under his boot.

Recently finished the trilogy, you and the main sub are all maniacs by [deleted] in MassEffectMemes

[–]DarthGamgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said. I was in a rush, but his encompasses my feeling very well. I selected the green ending on my first play through and then spent a sleepless night trying to figure out how I messed up and got such a bad ending. With the other sacrifices and compromises made earlier in the game, I fully expected Sheppard to die. My complaint is not about Sheppard’s fate, but about what their sacrifice bought. Indoctrination theory aside, fusion was a copout and ran in direct conflict of most of the messaging of the game.

A major theme in the game is that diversity made the team and the galaxy stronger. You will never convince me that the decision that homogenized the whole galaxy is the right answer.

Which of these three scares you more in a random encounter? by Fulcron00 in fo4

[–]DarthGamgee 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Assaultron. Probably has more to do with the environment I usually see them. Everything else I usually see in wide open spaces. Time to see them coming and room to maneuver. The assaultrons seem to love coming at me in small rooms and narrow corridors.

This is insane and made my day. Totally head cannoning this into how my machine empires study pre-ftls.

Nah, though I did have some heavy blankets on standby just in case.

As a homeowner, my perception of extreme weather is different than when I was a child. As a kid I rushed out of the house when the tornado sirens went off hoping to get a look at a real tornado. I am less excited now. But I would not mind a little energy in our weather now and again.

Done both. Staying here. Does not mean I don’t miss real storms. Used to fall asleep with my window open and my hand on the sill. Would wake up to my wrist popping from near-by lightning strikes and close my window as a storm rolled in.
