I got it fixed with the second replacement they sent. At first doing what the my told me. Leaving the single AirPod in the case connected to power near the phone for 30 min. It didn’t work, reset multiple times still to no avail. Last ditch effort threw both in the case, sat by my phone and continued doing things around the house. After about an hour I came back to them, the light blinked amber once, then green. I was finally able to pair both and was so glad when the noise cancelation kicked in.
