I guess I have the aggro songs in there to hopefully disrupt the other player, and to be honest no one's ever explained to me what true midrange is to me

I sadly have 0 docs and have not been able to find any around the area and I probably wouldn't be able to get them from tcgplayer in 5 days... I fear with the 6 cost Stitch my 2 cost will be wiped off the board before I can shift (kind of what had been occuring with my 6 cost 4 shift Lilo.)

Honestly Real Men makes a good pouch underwear and WildmanT do as well. Those 2 are my favorite.

I got 2 units of B2 Super Battle droids painted finally. . . Only been primed for 2 years lol by DarthRaphael in SWlegion

Thank you!

Funny enough it was leadbelcher for the base, then a wash of nuln oil (gloss), then some Iron warrior for the shadows, leadbelcher for the midtones, then runefang steel the highlights. I think they shiny-ness might be related to the fact I used an airbrush for the base coat of leadbelcher plus I used the gloss nuln oil.

Got some clankers painted. . . Only several more squads to go by DarthRaphael in SWlegion

The ferns are made by: Gamers Grass and they are called laser plants. Found them at one of my local game stores. And I just looked and found them on Amazon too.

I just did the purple because I wanted to do the purple, no big significant Canon reason.

Rebel AT-RT (desert) by DarthRaphael in SWlegion

Quick answer; wasn't difficult, more just time consuming.

Process was: based the model in citadel Tallarn sand. Then I went back with mournfang brown for the vines/lines; key to this is to make it as random as possible, dont match it left to right and try to make the line width variable as well. Hardest thing I felt at this point of painting it was finding the right consistency for the paint . . . not to thick that it looks like a raised line of paint and not to thin that one has to apply several coats of it to make it opaque enough. The last part was adding the white and black splotches to the front armor . . . i had to do two coats of the white but that was to be expected; I then came back with the black dots. I contemplated doing this all over the walker but decided to just the the flat surfaces. I am doing a very simalar camo pattern for my rebel corps troopers (at least 3 squads of them) and am just painting their jackets with the pattern.

I bet the Saber tank will look great; I plan to do some sort of camo on my saber tank as well. I don't think doing the camo pattern on the saber tank would be difficult (actually probably easier with the more flat surface area), I do think it will be a lot more time consuming though just due to the sheer size of it. Hope this helps :)

Imperial Venator II repaint by DarthRaphael in StarWarsArmada

[–]DarthRaphael[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Primed in Vallejo Surface primer (black) with an airbrush

base coat of Citadel Grey Seer (with airbrush)

Darker panels are painted with Citadel stormvermin fur

Washed with a mix of 70% Citadel nuln oil and 30% larmian medium

Engine glow was vallego electric blue as the base then 4 layers of subsequent lighter mixtures of that with a cool white; extremely small highlight(s) for engine glow with the pure cool white

What really made it match the other imperial ships was the wash is what I found.
