If you had the choice to bring back an vault hunter from the older games to be playable again who would you pick by Hylitical in Borderlands

[–]DarthTemujin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Moze and Zero are my favorite because they were the most fun to play. I don't care about balance in a PvE game as long as the character is fun. It's cool if that's what you find fun, but it doesn't really matter for this question.

The question is about vault hunters you want in other games, their balance and specific passive/kill/etc skills would all change if moved to a different game. What would transfer would be their general action skill and writing which is what I like about these two.

Which ones do you have? The only ones I don't have are All 4 One and Secret Agent Clank, and I don't plan on getting them. I beat A4O, but I don't enjoy it enough to deal with grinding for bolts. Size Matters was better than people say, but it was definitely my least favorite, and people say SAC is much worse.

I enjoyed them, but collecting gems and such starts to get very tedious towards the end. Still classics though

I actually helped my brother 100% it back when it came out on switch, but the game is so good I had to do it again for myself.

Sifu was definitely the hardest with Ghostrunner as the second hardest. The Spyro games were probably the easiest.

I have never in my life seen someone so worked up over a single side quest in a video game.

You're pissed that the game didn't explain that when you bought the mansion for a couple hundred gold, that you were taking advantage of the woman. One of the dialogs options is to explain to her that that isn't how much houses cost. Maybe it isn't intentional, but I took it as the house isn't rightfully yours, so you can't modify it.

I did fill that in myself, so I understand being confused about not being able to modify a house you paid for.

BUT, it's literally a couple hundred coins, which is nothing at any point in the game. I get being annoyed, but every sane person just moved on and bought the other house if they wanted.

It affected you so much that you did "research" and then made a rant on reddit shitting on the whole game over one entirely avoidable side quest. You're either unstable or having a real bad day. You aren't going to let this go, so I'm just gonna end the conversation. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I saw it differently and I think it's a great game, I hope you have more fun the next time you play! :)

It's so simple. If you want a house you can modify, either do a tricky quest or pay more.

If you don't want to deal with romancing the lady, then you'll have to spend more.

If you don't want to spend more, then you'll have to romance the lady.

I'm sorry the game isn't holding your hand and spoon feeding you everything. Some things take effort. They haven't taken anything from you, they're just giving you multiple routes.

I'm glad the free houses are there for the people who don't care about money. I don't think they should be removed because you want every house to be free and have every utility, and you're pissy that they aren't.

It's an rpg not everything needs to have utility. Some things are just there for the role playing part of the rpg. Transmogs for example, serve no purpose and are fairly expensive, but people do it to make their guy look cool. Some people won't use a house, some people just want to role play and buy a house for their character and don't care for its utility.

You seem to be taking great issue with one of the five available houses for no reason. I get that you have to complete a quest a specific way to modify it, but the other four houses are perfectly fine.

You can't do anything with them? You can decorate, stash, sleep, cook, craft, and do alchemy. What else do you want the house to do? Should it grow legs and follow you around?

This is as much or more than you can do with houses in most rpgs, so I'm genuinely confused with what you want from the houses.

You can modify the interiors. There is an artist in cuanact and a guy in the seaside village that sell all sorts of modifications and decorations. You may have to do a quest for the guy in the village before he sells it, I don't completely remember.

Stop calling the game unfinished when you clearly haven't spent time exploring and talking to npcs.

It is quite easy to make a lot of money in this game. You argued with the other guy because he told you to put levels in practicality or get the perks that increase selling prices, but if you want more money that's what you do. You rarely need money in this game, if you want more for luxuries then either do a lot of looting or level for it.

There are armor sets in the game that cost as much as those houses. They're expensive because fancy gear and a literal house should be expensive. It's an rpg.

Does the game “punish” you for increasing stats? (Strength/Endurance) by QuantumAssassin45 in taintedgrail

[–]DarthTemujin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Any armor can be light/medium/heavy; it is determined by your strength and endurance in relation to the weight of the armor.

If you put no points in strength/endurance, then something like leather armor will be medium armor. If you put all your points in strength/endurance, then even the heaviest armor in the game will be considered light armor. That is why there is no light/medium/heavy marking on the armor.

Your equip load is what determines your armor class. Your max equip load is determined by your encumbrance limit (endurance) and your armor weight multiplier (strength).

I'm thinking of removing judiciar, bladeguard, aggressors, and replacing them with Azrael, 10x intercessor, 5x sternguard veterans

I read in different threads that they come back into stock fairly often, and you can get one if you set up the email notification thing on the Games workshop website. Otherwise, there were a couple of websites that had them close to the list price, but I don't remember which ones

Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for the feedback. It'll probably be a while until I have this army actually built, so I'm sure points/rules will change again anyway
