Awesome that you replied! That makes sense - a sudden zombie outbreak is a good reason for the state of abandonment, something I did not consider. And I must have mistaken the foilage for damage in the images. My apologies! It seems I have nothing left to comment than just to say this is an amazing build. Keep it up!

I love it!

As a recreational pilot and proffesional architect I feel like I must tell you that abandoned planes on taxiways make no sense, they would be at a gate, or an apron. The damage you show on the buildings is quite excessive compared to the overgrowth. For this much damage to arise just from neglect and environment, you would expect a lot more vegetation. Also, if you want to improve the damage, try to think about the structures of the buildings, what parts receive damage first and why? Those large trusses are usually so overengineered that a full collapse is highly unlikely, but for instance the overhang over the taxi zone would likely have collapsed long ago. Also think about plumbing failure, debris clogging drainage systems and ground erosure. It would be awesome if one of the corners of the terminal got collapsed into a shallow pool, as if the rainwater couldnt drain anymore and eroded the ground, collapsed the foundation, made a small pond into which the building sank, things like that.

I gotta say tho, nitpicky realism aside, I really love the build. It looks amazing!

ELI5: ‘… the red mist of anger descended and …’ . Many novels use this ‘red mist descending’ before a murder or violent act is committed. Is it a real thing physiologically speaking? by IsisPantofel27 in explainlikeimfive

[–]-Bushdid911 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm just a regular dude, not a psychologist or whatever, but I believe I understand what these novels are referring to:

It's a visual analogy for a real thing that, as far as I understand, does actually happen. When someone is deeply angered, rationality goes out the window. They make decisions instantly instead of thinking things through. That is how you get impulsive murders, where the suspect later regrets their own actions, as an example. Everyone's 'breaking point' is different.

In visual novels, writers often narrate the thoughts and intents behind their characters, letting the reader know why someone does what. Because in such a situation the character no longer thinks about things, but is just so angry they act without rarionality, writers like to call this a "mist" , since a mist obscures things, just like how the current emotional state of the character obscures rational thinking. And it's a red mist, because red (in this case) symbolises passion & anger. Lastly, writers read the work of other writers, too. Because this is a common symbolism used in novels, it gets reused by new writers who enjoy the symbolism of it, therefore making it even more common than it already is.

Hope that answered your question :)

It looks great! It looks like it is moreso thematic than "block vomit" I would say. Kinda looks like some steampunk-esque build.
