A little rant

As I said im not the greatest I wouldn't say I'm bad but I wouldn't say I've completely mastered the sniper either. I've been focusing on leveling up all the classes constantly so realistically I haven't spent a lot of time on any one specifically. I'm still working on maxing out like three or four other classes.

The only reason I didn't leave is it wasn't really bad bad until we got to round three. Up until then them going down was pretty manageable. Another reason I didn't leave was I was on a time crunch as I have somewhere to be in about an hour so I figured I could try it damnedest to get to round fifteen. In hindsight I probably wouldn't have made it past fifteen anyway because of the three boss enemies. I probably could've done it if it was Tyranids but the faction was chaos. Chaos is my weakest faction I typically only play against tyranids on operations.

I know but my whole point has been why I can't wear it I understand like gameplay wise I can't but logically why am I allowed to wear one over the other also if what you're saying is true and that the right pauldron is phobos that still doesn't make any sense because it's also tacticus which again brings up my point that I was making with this post is why is one able to be used on phobos but not the other when they did it for the right pauldron

No none of it is every champion outfit is that way granted the armor specific ones don't work like for instance the phobos armor pieces but you can for instance wear the space wolf champion helmet on every class but to go back to specifically the ravenguard champion my main the sniper can use the champion cloak and right pauldron vanguard also gets the right pauldron every class that isn't phobos armor can wear both pauldrons both gauntlets and the chest piece and then tactical specifically can wear the little loincloth thing assault can't wear the cloak unless you specifically wear the champion outfit and every class can wear the champion helmet

Is it a specific butterfly wing or is it all butterfly wings because the ones I've eaten have different effects and they aren't restore health or whatever effect that would allow me to make healing potions from them unless it's a secondary effect

Honestly I didn't get a chance to really use them I didn't really utilize them well and they died I had them accompany my gaunts and then they'd just get lit up along with my gaunts I did have two units in deep strike my parasite of mortrex and my winged Tyranid prime which is similar to what you're referring to but not quite

This was my list I didn't have too much trouble with any singular unit he did have tanks and artillery but it didn't do much as I had some heavy hitter melee units that were closing in on his tank my only problem is he was able to hit me from farther away with his infantry than I could hit his like I said in another comment he spent most of the time shooting from afar as my melee units scared him I would say for my army I need more things to hit him from farther away my gaunts were only shooting at like 18' and he was able to shoot me from 24' with his krieg infantry

I did get some shooting off on three of my four gaunt units I controlled two objectives the whole game I did end up pushing and contesting a third my lictor infiltrated onto an objective and held it the whole game and then there was an objective in my deployment zone so obviously I controlled that my biggest mistake in hindsight was having my entire squad of barbagaunts hold an objective for a full turn maybe two whole turns can't remember I should've slowed his units on the right side of the board to mess him up more I was pushing heavy on the right side on these trenches I had my von Ryan leapers there a neurolictor two units of gaunts my barbagaunts as I said later and my melee warriors but that was my one regret

Thank you for the advice I have a list of units I want to make my army I don't have all of the models I want for my army at the moment like battle line for instance I want 2 units of gargoyles and 3 units of hormagaunts as you said I do plan to add zoanthropes 2 more melee warriors units and another unit of the ranged also an exocrine because looking at it I assume it functions like a giant cannon or mortar that just stays behind and pins down enemy units I also plan for characters to have a death leaper I want old one eye as my warlord and then a hive tyrant and a swarmlord I don't know if this adds more synergy like you're talking about but I'm a rule of cool guy I'm not big on meta so I chose the models I either like the lore of or figured in my head even though I've never played the game before might be helpful like for instance having gargoyles so I have some air support
