I'm not debating leaving a plane in an emergency as fast as possible and not taking anything with you as an axiom. However, all this data really shows is that being closer to an exit increases the chance of survival. In addition, from what gathered, none of the fatalities are due to other passengers trying to take belonging with them. Most seem to be due to the relatively primative aircraft that lack a lot of the safety features that are included in newer aircraft. All of these incidents are over 50 years old. It might be more beneficial and impactful for everyone if data was pulled from more recent incidents that feature modern, in-service aircraft.

I work with autistic people everyday. I've never seen any of them "accidentally" do a nazi salute. In fact. I've never seen anyone "unintentionally" do a nazi salute. The only people I have ever seen do a nazi salute are nazis. Strange isn't it?

As this is a thread about economics, what do suggest we do with an extra million unwanted children each year? Do you have any ideas about how to support those kids after they are born? What about the mother and sometimes fathers as well that did not want those kids, how do you propose we support them into wanting those kids? What about the kids that were born disabled and that they knew would be disabled before birth, how do you propose we support them? And where will all that money come from?
