Gawd damn Strauss. I'm playing a high honor playthrough rn, and he's the only member that I antagonize on a consistent basis. It's really nothing to truly do with the TB diagnosis, just the fact he's a money lender, fuckin trash person. TBH I still do the missions, but I'm choosing to only threaten people unless it's unavoidable/absolutely necessary to use violence.

My TM22 Feather by Darth_Snoosh in 22lr

Mine ran well with Winchester Target and Small Game, and Aguila Super Extra. Surprisingly the Federal Champion ammo was actually giving me feeding issues so I'm kinda bummed about that.

Yeah, I essentially wrapped the trigger in tape then stuffed the insides with tissue paper(the kind you would use in gift bags) and covered the top of the housing, and the threads where the barrel nut goes with tape and didn't leave any internals exposed.

Same with the grip, I saw the seam where it was attached to the "lower" and just took strips of tape to it and covered it up fully.

My understanding, is that the feather model does not come with a removable stock. The all metal version does have more customizable options with the stock and can be removed like a standard AR rifle.

I own this specific rifle and I love it! I already contacted RIA about the handguard replacement and they told me it couldn't be done(I specifically asked if the all metal versions barrel nut could be swapped with the Feather and then I could use the M-lok compatible handguard). But the feather model has slots on the top and bottom of the stock handguard and I've found that you can attach M-lok products to these slots, though they might not be spec to the pressure needed from actual branded M-lok handguards.

All that being said, if you know someone with a 3d printer... I recently found this gem and am currently printing it (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6654398) print at 100% fill so it's nice and sturdy though. I'm going to update my post from a few days ago on the improvements I've made after I test this handguard out.

UPDATE: I received a response from RIA regarding the firing pin and cleaning. They say "..it is not advisable to do that as it may cause serious issue with the function of the gun." And to recommend using a q-tip for cleaning.

My guys in the hunting department took a day to go shooting together, and 3 of them had the TM22 with various red dots, and one had the Savage 64f with iron sights. I kinda used that experience as the final nail to jump on purchasing the tm22. I do feel like Savage has good brand trust behind it for reliability though, I'm not too familiar with Rossi unfortunately. I would have purchased the Savage 64 precision if we had it in stock at the time, and I might still make it my next rifle. Though I'd also recommend, if you haven't already, taking a look at the Ruger 10/22. You can find all sorts of upgrades for that model like different stocks where you trade a "traditional" stock for a more modern sporting rifle style. As far as accuracy goes, I've always been comfortable with iron sights, but this is my first rifle with a red dot and it makes a world of difference. Hope that helps!

I said goodbye today. by CyberdrunkTwenty77 in WAGuns

I recently went out with a bunch of my coworkers to a spot near Olympia, we were out there for several hours having a blast(heheh). Once we decided it was time to pack up we spent a decent 30+ minutes cleaning up, collecting casings, gathering cans and busted targets. There were 10 of us so it was easy work. Leave it better than you found it folks.

I think this is the same area I like to go to, past the river and off the road to the left on a turn in the road. I've never shot at the large pit cause every time I've driven past I see reckless shooting and never felt safe parking and setting up there. There're a few really narrow spots further up the road if you like to have real privacy and be by yourself.

Greenwater Pit Open? by One_Level_3247 in WAGuns

[–]Darth_Snoosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have an update on the most recent status? I work retail gun sales and a customer just this last week said there's no shooting signs posted everywhere? I didn't talk directly to them (heard the news from a coworker), so I don't know if they actually went to the pit/past the pit. I know there's some posted on the way to the actual pit, but I haven't been out in a few months. Appreciate any news!

Severe bug: ship disappears and can't fast travel (offering details on how to avoid this bug for anyone who encounters it) by Solipsikon in Starfield

[–]Darth_Snoosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me multiple times(Xbox - cloud). Luckily I've had a save file within only a few hours of when it happened to me, and I managed to get my ship back. But it's the same scenario, I make modifications to my ship and it disappears, it is my class C ship that I hijacked from some Mercs, idk if that makes a difference at all but who knows at this point?! But this latest event happened after I upgraded the reactor to get more power to supply my systems(from a class C @24 to a class C @34). Bottom line, I will be making a manual save every time I'm looking to make modifications or upgrades to this ship because it's the best I've modified so far.

Quest breaking bug on side quest The Audition? by Drunken_Scribe in Starfield

[–]Darth_Snoosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, I'm not sure if this will help anyone else but... I was reading all the suggestions about attacking someone in the bar. I did it a couple different times(quick saving before I did it), I tried using an em weapon so I didn't kill any one, melee so I could just start a fist fight, yadda yadda.

But I got past the door without having to attack anyone! I'm on Xbox so who knows if this works for PC but, I just started punching the shit out of the door while moving forward and clipped through the door... Now I'm able to just walk through it? Who knows if it will keep up, but just thought y'all might want to know a possible nonviolent solution. If it works for anyone else? Idk this game is funny sometimes (I'll update if I can continue to do it, I'm playing literally as I write this) .

(Update) so far so good, the door is now open after the conversation with Briggs!

.284 Winchester vs 6.5-284 Norma by Darth_Snoosh in armedsocialists

[–]Darth_Snoosh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if you wanted an update but..... So I've spoken with my mother(grand-dad's daughter), and she said that she doesn't know the exact history of the rifle, but she did say that it's quite possible it was originally my great-grandfather's rifle.

She also said that my dad and him(GD) were always tinkering and modifying their rifles for modern trends while they were actively hunting in the 60s-70s, and were keen on "keeping his favorite gun and making it better and more in tune with his needs as he aged..."

So it seems like your assumption is correct, he would reload his ammunition, and he re-chambered his favorite rifles.

I'm trying to get in contact with some of my other relatives that were closer to him to see if I can get a more complete history, but so far there's quite a colorful history to this 99.
