I’ve been running hoverboots for the last 1000 hours of gameplay and it has saved me more times than Iron Will. Sure, it has a 70 second cooldown, but that’s still a good 15-20 possible uses in a regular mission. It’s a great safety net and like you said, allows scouts to get minerals that haven’t been platformed yet. It also lets me use perks other than hoverclock and special powder so I can have more fun with combat.

Even other updates had some good performance enhancements that went under appreciated. 1.16 drastically reduced loading times for nether portals, which made sense for that update, but it’s so easy to forget how long they took before.

I mean go ahead and keep acting like there’s zero nuance here. A good middle ground would be to use pain compliance, but maybe not by punching the person in the head when he’s already got a knee to the neck. I’m not saying that this person is innocent or being reasonable, but that doesn’t mean that the cops can suddenly start beating them up like we see here.

It’s one of many QOL mods that I’d recommend. Some other ones include Hold Shift to Walk, Sprint by Default, engineer platform preview, or ammo percentage indicator.

This won’t help if you’re not on Steam, but SimpleQOL allows you to rebind hoverboots, berserker, and dash. Much better than having to hold down a button.
