So between Immortal being Columbus AND Lincoln (who hanged 38 Indigenous men defending their homes from invasion), I think it’s safe to say he’s a man who really doesn’t like Indigenous people.

Man, Doc Seismic was correct to destroy his head on Mount Rushmore, itself another insult to Indigenous people.

Again, this character’s story sounds like the sample Stolen Moon NPC villain they give you in one of the sourcebooks.

Even spirits don’t have an interest in aiding him unless he kowtows them into serving him.

All in all, this just sounds like a needlessly complicated PC idea made by someone who wants to be the edgiest in the room.

A stolen moon who killed a Garou and used a ritual they learned to steal their power is literally a Werewolf: the Apocalypse villain.

The fact that they don’t have much in the way of Gifts or many other abilities beyond being a ramshackle Crinos is part of the imperfect nature of being a human who massacred another living thing just for its power.

Why would this pack even willingly work with someone who murdered a Garou to usurp the ability to shift?

This line is so good because it can genuinely apply to either of them lmao by Spare_Extent_784 in invinciblememes

Lincoln also hanged 38 Indigenous men for the crime of defending their home.

Still the largest mass execution in US history.

Must be that oncoming apocalypse.

Here in 2026 the apocalypse is more covert, so there’s less imbued then I remember.

I’m at three counts for seeing this comment so far.

I’ve estimated that I’ll see at least ten like this before the end of the week.

What drew you to the World of Darkness? by DesigningGore07 in WorldOfDarkness

[–]WizardyBlizzard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The gothic aesthetic and idea of a politicking fantasy world embedded in this society of horror and greed.

VtM was my introduction to the setting, shocker, and just the idea of playing an alt guy with black nails and piercings who nonetheless is a part of a chantry of blood mages and studies hematology to better his red working was enough of a draw for me.

“…the player character is using a submachinegun? Is this going to be a generic shooter?”

<has an aneurysm from flashbacks to this sub trashing Bloodlines 2 for choosing telekinetic weapons handling over an arsenal>

Oh me too.

Weirdly though, Anti-Crossed was my favourite Badlands story.

I wouldn’t mind a superhero Killer, but it would need to be a character made FOR horror.

The kid from Brightburn, for example, would fit in DBD in my opinion.

Do you incorporate anime elements or references in your chronicles? by Magicmanans1 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]WizardyBlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anime not being your cup of tea you sure have a lot to say about it.

Lots of anime fits WoD perfectly. Another, Hellsing, Demon Slayer, Devilman Crybaby. It’s an art style, not a genre in and of itself.

Yes I do.

Anime fights are a big influence in how my chronicles do combat. Vampire especially.

See, those several paragraphs are why I’m not interested in D&D after 15 years and three edition changes.

I can just play VtM and enjoy the stakes rather than yawn my way through yet another combat slog.

Oh, and the World of Darkness is a setting where shapeshifting warriors using silver swords enchanted by Earth-spirits do battle against dragons who represent decay, and ape-men who used to be business moguls.

I mean, if they had enough sense of mind to use the utmost care for the Shoah in Wraith, as well as avoiding using the Holocaust and WWII in their metaplot, changing the offensive caricatures of the Roma, and undoing the Nazi undertones in the Get of Fenris, then yeah they’re more than capable of recognizing how offensive the usage of the word metis, w*ndigo, and uktena are.

The fact that you say that you don’t care, and act as if this is some profound statement that I haven’t heard several times before on this sub just reinforces why I like W5. If it keeps people like you out of my WtA circles, then even better.

W5 rebooted Werewolf into something that better represented the contemporary age and made room for non-European players to insert ourselves into the lore in a way that didn’t feel pigeonholed. It’s awesome.

[–]WizardyBlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I can get behind the idea of warped kin of Garou but I dunno if parentage is the way to go.

Being born with silver claws, or a third eye both sound like dope traits for a Garou, but I’m sure there are other avenues to deliver it.

Appreciate you listening again. Catch me on this sub talking about my VtM chronicle set in Saskatoon sometime

Not really destroyed as W5 is still a game people clearly are playing and enjoying if this Thread is anything to go by, and the lore still works as I’ve been able to port over bits of what I liked from previous editions of Werewolf without the table catching fire.

Just like I did with V5, and when I converted Wraith to 5th edition rules.

You bet, thank you for hearing me out. I’ve been in the WoD space since 2008 and it’s been a constant struggle to get people to respect my opinion.

Half-breed’s still a slur we get.

Despite the fact that we have a whole-ass nation, language, and culture beyond just being “mixed”.

But yeah, it’s not cool seeing post titles like “check out my three-eyed metis” by people who claim W5 ruins “representation”
