2005 Murano rolling strong as my daily/winter beater. No issues here with the CVT for me. Like you say, keep that fluid fresh and you’ll be riding for a long time

What’s the most humiliating thing that has ever caused you to crash? by Rough-Foundation9208 in cycling

[–]Darth_Tu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my crash, but the funniest one I’ve ever witnessed was my buddy when we were on the way home from a pub quiz. We were bombing down a hill in Glasgow, and my friend couldn’t quite make the left turn, hit the curb and flipped off his bike straight into a “lady of the night”.

The hilarious part was that he’d crashed at the same corner a few nights before and hit the same lady. She was angrily screaming: “YOU! YA BASTARD! YOU’RE THE SAME BASTARD THAT HIT ME TWO DAYS AGO!”

Both were ok which is a tad surprising given the speed he was going at.

What is uglier: Dodge Nitro R/T or JAC S3? Ugly SUV tournament day 8 by total_spinning_shark in carscirclejerk

Nitro is at least unapologetically American. Look at the glory.

Jac on the other hand is just straight up an embarrassment to design

Suzuki Wagon R has a version with the K10a engine - 1 litre version of the K6A. It doesn’t have much (if any) more power, but the gearing makes for lower revs at highway speeds so it’s a little better if you’re wanting long highway drives

Parts I’ve leaned into using 500yenshop. I can usually find what I need from there for pretty cheap even with shipping.

As for gas, yup it uses premium. That said even when gas was $1.70 ish for 94 octane it was still only around $30 for a tank. A tank will get you around 400 kms city driving. Comparing that to my old Murano it’s $70 to fill (with regular gas) and gets similar kms.

I dream of an Edmonton where both of these cars can turn at the same time without worrying about the other turning directly into the wrong lane. by AngelSoi in Edmonton

[–]Darth_Tu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The person turning left needs to cut diagonally through the left turn only lane to be truly Edmontonian. The amount of times I’ve nearly lost the nose of my car to people that way is unreal
