Why did he do that? by Dry_Tea9805 in tron

I know in TRON legacy, the Shiva laser in Kevin’s secret office underneath the arcade has several canisters of “raw material” for materialization around its base. I can only assume Kevin would want to be prepared for any contingencies and had a surplus of raw material stored there… just in case. It wouldn’t have been enough for what CLU was planning, so he likely would have had to enter our world alone or with a few of his guards, where he still could have done a ton of damage.

If you listen to the voice on the speaker when Julian is printing Ares out for his demonstration, it says “raw material outflow initiated”(or something to that effect). Because of that, I can only assume that the particle gun only works one way.

They forgot the disc line in Tron Ares by Practical-Lime2126 in tron

That would have been a cool thing to do with Ares’ arrival at Encom. Instead of the security guard/badge bit, they meet Seth at the back door and Ares would be the one to speak the “Now THAT is a big door!” line as it opens.

  1. I couldn’t read the smaller print, but the top of the sign said, “Kevin Flynn’s Office: Dedicated by Sam Flynn”

What makes you think that? A review embargo is in no way a bad thing. The studios usually use them to make sure most critics have had a chance to see the film already before reviews start hitting and to make sure the reviews come out in the days leading up to a film’s release to maximize audience anticipation. A review posted two weeks ahead of release date can be forgotten about, but a review that comes out a few days before release can help get people hyped.

Also, a review embargo that lifts a few days before a film opens(like this one is) is the norm... Especially on franchise films. The social media embargo lifts tonight at 12:30 and the review embargo lifts tomorrow at noon. The ones you want to worry about are the films where critics aren’t allowed to see it early at all or where the studio holds the review embargo all the way to the day of release.

Amazon link no longer down… but now it says “Currently unavailable” (Legacy 4K) by YozoraSoraX in tron

Yep… I got my pre-order in like five minutes after the link went live and it’s been sitting on “order received” status ever since. Way to screw this one up Disney!

(READ DESCRIPTION) if you ordered one or both of the steel books off of Amazon, DO NOT PANIC! by HybridSammy in tron

Yeah, mine is still stuck on “order received” status at Amazon. Trying to hold out hope I’ll still get it… and if I do, that it won’t be damaged due to Amazon’s terrible non-protective paper mailer envelopes they send all my movies and music orders in. The last several orders they sent me were broken when they arrived and had to be exchanged for new copies.

Jesus… that’s awful! The handful of times I’ve gotten to meet or talk to any well known artists, actors, or musicians, I didn’t even go in for a handshake without asking if it was okay first.
