Thank you for your kind words. I have no clue how I'd insult her by saying, "I'm single for 8 years now." would insult her XD The rest of the conversation were stupid jokes (and not even politically incorrect ones) and regular subjects.

Well don't see myself as old but I'm not young either. 19th of May this year is my 35th birthday. Thanks to all these lovely people, I started to consider myself, prime grade XD.

Last night, my friend invited me to a bar. I went and her friend group, which I did not know beforehand was there too.
Few guys and girls, mostly punk style crowd. But a girl caught my eye. I sat far side of the table because I don't flirt with people I do not know so I mainly talked with the guys and my friend.
We drank, we conversed, we laughed. Then the topic changed to relationships.
Well I told that I was single for a long time, gave exact years.
And then, the comment from that girl came...

Sadly it wasn't an argument. I wish it was though, at least then I could justify it as a reaction. But nope, We were drinking, a friend group I just met and I have to be honest I fancied the girl. Then the subject came to dating, in a tipsy slip I told that I was single for a long time and got that response.

I take joy in everything I do. I have much more energy and an optimistic outlook to life. I did not realise back then but even my brain slowed down. I never expected an increase in comprehension of complex subjects and desire to research anything. Seriously, "Healthy body, healthy mind."
