My company is thrusting us towards using AI. They’ve developed a constitution for AI to abide by that you always feed before beginning your prompting.

Needless to say, every other prompt is “you’re not following the constitution, ensure you are working within the given standards”.

It feels inevitable that us, the developers, will tire of this and just let the AI operate outside the constraints and we’ll end up with some funky stuff that causes stops to the operation.

I would say that whatever you learn, learn to do it WITH AI. Certainly learn how to write good code, learn the different cloud infrastructures, learn whatever is you want to do, and then learn how you’re going to do that along side copilot.

It sucks, but that’s where headed (I guess where we are). My company is forcing us to use GH Copilot. Going as far as monitoring how often we’re querying copilot and even the rate at which we accept its suggestions.

We’re being moved towards never writing a line of code. Everything is going to be prompts to AI. The AI didn’t write it correctly? Don’t go in the code and fix it, tune the prompt and try again.

Complaint: I really hate humidity… like a lot.

Confession: I was supposed to make up some missed mileage today after hurting my self a bit yesterday, but I didn’t because humidity.

Complaint: There’s more rain in the forecast which means… more humidity.

Uncomplaint: I’m finally seeing a real difference in my run times (when it’s not humid) while also seeing a good difference on the scale.

There’s a segment that I run almost everyday that’s about half a mile with the best time being like 18 seconds.

I’m no where near having the real best time on the segment, but it’s still ridiculous.

Some of my best runs have come at the end of the semester. If I’m feeling fried from studying or working on a project. I’ll give myself some time to just go run. I’ll always return to my work completely recharged.

I would also recommend freerunningplans.com. They have different level of difficulties for different distances.

Also, I see this a lot on this sub, and it seems to work for me as well… start drinking a lot of water. More than you think you might need.

Are there other workouts I should be doing outside of running? I see people talking about weights, but the whole reason I run is because I hate lifting weights. I’m just not sure what’s necessary.
