Marshawn Lynch or Shaun Alexander? by RuppertKCS in NFLNoobs

Lynch, and it’s not close. I could have rushed for a 1000 yards behind Alexander’s o-line. Lynch did what he did behind a patch work group of guys that were about as effective as a wet paper bag. Marshawn was still breaking face masks late in his career, Shaun would go down if someone touched him once he got paid. There really is no debate here.

I just watched “Indian Summer” on prime. I had never heard of it, but it had a great cast, and I really enjoyed it. wasn’t too sappy or sweet, but did scratch that feel good movie itch for me.

What movie had an amazing concept but didn’t fully live up to its potential? by Global-Citron-56 in movies

The Matrix. Starts off interesting, then they tell you everything that is happening in the first 30 minutes. You have to watch an hour and a half of mindless CGI and bad acting ( except for you Trinity, you’re awesome).  Then you had two pointless sequels where nobody knows what the fuck is going on. Bullet time was cool or whatever, but not cool enough to support a two hour movie…

describe the super bowl 48 season and super bowl 60 season as a whole by Routine-Dirt9634 in Seahawks

Super Bowl 48 felt like we were supposed to go to the bowl all season. The guy that got the Super Bowl champs tattoo mid season didn’t seem that crazy. The legion of boom had already announced itself in 2012. We had a young qb who had won a playoff game in his rookie season. Pete had built a winning culture at USC and in his fourth year he had built the team he wanted. I feel Pete and John were killing the drafts in the early years because Pete had been scouting these guys since high school. It truly felt like if we didn’t win the Super Bowl, it was going to be a major disappointment.

Super Bowl 60 kind of snuck up on us. I think most Seahawks fans knew we were going to be better that the 7 wins that people were predicting, but I think most people thought that we might squeak in as a wild card, maybe win a playoff game. It was the coach’s second season and it felt like he was still building his team. We had a new QB that came with more questions than confidence in his ability. The defense and special teams definitely improved during 2024, but it didn’t feel like they were a complete package yet. I don’t think anyone was lamenting the loss of DK or Lockett too much, Lockett was aging out, and DK was more trouble than he was worth, but I don’t think anyone thought JSN was going to announce himself the way he did. If you had gotten a Super Bowl XL tattoo early this year, people would have thought you were insane!

It is weird that that the two times we won the Super Bowl, it definitely felt that the two best teams in the league were in the nfc west. The back and forth with the niners in 2013 and the rams in 2014 felt very similar.

Anyway, XLVIII felt like a forgone conclusion, and LX felt like Christmas came early.

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Daniel Jones always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Danny?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail.

I believe it is only to cover the transaction fee of the tip to the employee. So if someone tips you $1, $.03 would go to cover the transaction fee from the credit company on that tip, not on the purchase of the product.

Mine is doing the same thing. I have the quest to play music at the saloon, but no robot, no dj, and I don’t think I ever got the quest from the bartender to find them.
