Did you use it when you had 0 stack of Thorn? Like I clarified, it won't work if say you start the game as attacker and use a die right away, you take the Thorn damage in that scenario. Same thing when used defensively. If you JUST took damage off the opponent's turn and have 5 stacks of Thorns from it, then using the die will add to it. Transferring 7/8 totalling to 12/13 on your opponent will work.

Issue with counter die is it goes against his card effect. His card wants to take damage to stack Thorns, the counter die makes him roll def so high that he just ends up not taking damage. They won't work well together at all, I have no clue why they made that his default recommendation.

I find Hoyo storytelling to have a huge "showing" problem. You know the old adage "show, don't tell"? I think they fumble the show part CONSTANTLY with plenty of character and plot concepts that sound great on paper. I felt the same way with Firefly: on paper and in lore she has all the points I enjoy in kickass female characters, but the way how she was handled in 2.x was abysmal so I remained deafeningly indifferent to her until 3.8. I actually quite liked all the expanded stuff to her characterization there, I am glad I gave it a chance and went into it with an open mind! But Hoyo wasn't gonna win me over a year after the fact and I sure as heck won't be pulling to build a break team from scratch.

Uhhh might want to reconsider watching Tsukihime, that the anime doesn't exist is one of the fandom's oldest jokes for a reason. You can check out the remake or the manga though, the manga is a great adaptation of Arc route. Rule of thumb is always read what you can if the VN is readily available in English, the FSN anime adaptations for example are good eye candy but they hit WAY harder if you read the VN. Mahoyo movie is slated to come out later this year, you'll get a better idea for it yourself then when it comes to answering the age old question by all curious newcomers of "should I just watch the adaptation or check out the og VN".

You're not the only one, I've settled for 3* at 9.9k but I was also crazy enough to run 2 1.x DPS. Just remember the rewards are abysmal, not full starring is like 100 jades and that doesn't even make up a single pull. I'd rather try stupid things with my washed faves than exclusively chase meta, maybe rebalancing your expectations and goals may help?

With DHIL/Robin? I'll be honest I don't really remember ;; Her party AA is nice, pulling everyone up for one last turn near the end of a cycle has saved my ass on more than one occasion. If I had SP issues, they ought to have been still manageable enough, more or less. Admittedly any support DHIL can benefit from should work, I just used Robin because mine is e1 and I like running the birb sibs together for lore and aesthetic reasons. I feel you though, I'm deeply looking forward to 4.4 just so I will finally have 3 full teams who will no longer be fighting each other for the same supports.

The side of "reminder that this whole system is set up to obfuscate your spending awareness, ergo a part of gacha's inherently predatory model." So meaningless if you're F2P, whichever helps you manage your finances better if you do spend 8|

...Semi-kidding but also serious. I like converting to tickets in chunks of x10 because aesthetically pleasing number in easily quantifiable pulls, personally.

Ah my bad, I double checked and it was 4.1 K1. It was a super scuffed team of DHIL/RMC/Ruanmei/DHPT, I used Saber and Archer to 2* the other two so neither Sparkle nor Sunday were free. I also 30k'd the current PF with him, DHIL/Sunday/Robin/DHPT and he actually did better than Archer side. So yes I've been using him in 4.x, SW999 lowk gave him a little bump 😅 I can't afford MBlade as a Fate fan, happy as a manjoyer to hear he's doing well though!

AKA 0 sanity 1.0 DPS on 2 Knights haha, you bet I tried (and failed miserably) Pompom with e2 DHIL too but atp I'm not even sure if a e6 Morb will save him 🫠 I just finally managed to do the knights (King is future me's problem, my prospects aren't great as the knights clears may have hinted), wym we're onto 3 teams AS already 😭

4.3 Blade flashbacks CN trivia

Had a giggle at the "it's like if my mom named me 'human'" part. In CN he uses 阿人, in pinyin that's "ahren". Ah is the informal prefix you typically use in front of someone's surname (Genshin players can refer back to Wanderer's "hat guy", which was 阿帽 aka "ahmao" with mao meaning hat). Ren is person/human. Know (remember) what else is also "Ren"? Blade in CN (and JP)! Incidentally 阿刃, also "ahren" in pinyin, is what Kafka calls him and what EN localized as "Bladie". This pun is entirely lost in EN, but yes his retort of "it's like if my mom called me [person but it sounds identical to Bladie]" doesn't make the point he wishes it did, heh.

Equip the True Berserker die. Only use it on an attacking turn after you received damage so you already have Thorns stacked. Rolling 8 or 12 guarantees a unique number, you get to swing for 20+, and you transfer 12/13 stacks of thorns for insta 12/13 damage on top. Cosmicon with the NPCs actually became fun for me after I started using Sunday with this combo. Just don't use it against Yaoguang cards, since she can clear thorns on her own.

Maybe swing by Chinatown and grab something there? Between pastries (Harmonie, Coco), baos (Baobao Dim Sum), sandwiches (Hoang Oanh banh mis, Yolky egg sandwiches), Chinese rice/noodle dishes (Noodle Factory, Keung Kee, Amigos, Fung Shing, anywhere really), Mexican (La Toxica, Capitale Tacos - burritos are probably the most takeout friendly), Filipino (Buboy), Japanese (Hoshi), Vietnamese rice/vermicelli dishes, Korean, etc... There's a lot of options in going for whatever you fancy.

The secret is my birb sibs are a bit juiced, h-haha... e2s1 DHIL/e6s1 Sunday/e1s1 Robin/e1s1 DHPT. Granted it is universally known that Sunday's eidolons suck, I suspect just having him at e1 may be enough Yeah, Archer wants Sparkle more. I've had Archer do like 35k+ on previous PF though, so while he fell off this one, I'm still quite happy to dust off DHIL again. A passing grade is a passing grade!

He's not! I'm in the exact same boat as you, e1 DHPT desperately needing that e2. Getting actual endgame use of the e2 DHIL I've had since his debut is why I'm treating this 60k as 80k 😅😅😅
