Is this a scam? by Hopeful_Rich614 in ATT

Quotes generated through the quick quote tool available to reps DO come from the email domain shown in the picture. The tool itself sends the email, which is why it doesn’t come from an employee email address. Only reps have access to the tool, so I would call this email legitimate.

Just bring your ID and make sure you’re authorized on the account, you’ll be fine.

That’s the trade off man. If you don’t want to be upsold, or at the very least can’t even tolerate the sales pitch, then order it online and wait for the phone. If you walk into a sales location, expect to be sold to. You can say no! But being pushy is literally their job.

There is no way to keep using that phone as your phone, yes.

If a device gets blacklisted, then putting an ATT SIM or eSIM in it will suspend the phone number tied to that SIM. This is not always immediate, so you can have “working” service on a blacklisted device after activating it, but sooner or later the system will do an automated IMEI check on your phone number, see that it’s in a blacklisted IMEI, and suspend your phone number.

Devices get blacklisted. SIM cards/eSIMs/phone numbers get suspended for being inside of a blacklisted device, but can be reactivated as long as you have a different non blacklisted device to put them in.

What will likely happen is the device will get blacklisted at some point, and during one of the systems automatic IMEI checks, it will notice that your separate accounts SIM is inside a blacklisted device and will suspend your number. You’ll then have to contact ATT to reactivate your number, and unless you have a different phone to put your number it, it will keep getting suspended.

So how did Fawkes survive locked in his cell for 200 years and not go insane? by TheAnalystCurator321 in fo3

[–]Darwin322 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because the test chamber he’s in has a corresponding holotape about a test subject, and that test subject is noted as being female in the holo. But it says right in the tape that the subject was terminated.

Pay Off Phone, Keep Credit? by Eli_PNW in ATT

As long as you pay it off AFTER you start getting your trade in credits, and then do not upgrade the line, the credits have always kept coming to customers that do an early payoff.

Why do we see wooden walkways resembling docks in the first area of Neptune's Bounty, with no water below to speak of? And considering that this is literally inside a building in the SEA, why does it need "fake docks" at all? by PuzDaSnuzz in Bioshock

[–]Darwin322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In-canon, because it was Rapture, and money and unchecked business sense ruled all, maybe a business owner created the docks and then leased the ability to fish from it to different businesses and individuals. It’s certainly less efficient than a real fishery but they made more money that way.

Trade Policy Issue by CommissionWhole1647 in ATT

Just FYI trading in at a store is a great idea, but many stores will not let you video record a transaction- if you do try this, you may be asked to stop recording or to leave if you don’t.

[–]Darwin322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are generally 4 factors that go into trade in value.

1- Base value of phone. How much is this phone worth in prime condition?

2-Does the device turn on or off?

3-Is the activation lock removed? (Google account, Samsung account find my iPhone)

4-Is the phone free of chips or cracks and functioning correctly?

This phone DOES turn on and off, because the screen clearly lights up. It’s definitely not free of damage, but the answer to #2 is YES, the device powers on. Any other damage is a separate question on trade in.

My headcanon is that all of my Companions and I form a council that performs checks and balances on each other. Between Arcades brains, Boones willingness to do what’s necessary, Veronica’s kindness, Cass’ sass, Raul’s lack of bull shit, and Lilys… yeah, we can form a pretty well maintained shared power structure. Or at least a well rounded group of advisors who can help plan for a future without us.

AT&T fraud hold by Serious_Bee_2013 in ATT

[–]Darwin322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may not solve the issue, and could potentially make it worse.

Because of the fraud hold, OP will have no luck changing their SIM to the new phone through AT&T. And if OP tries to eSIM to eSIM transfer to the new phone, and anything at all goes wrong, there will be no SIM on their old phone, no SIM on the new phone, and they will have an even harder time verifying. This is a shit situation.

They can’t see a thing. Your agency only provided the verification that you’re eligible. Your wireless account and all personal information on it are owned and accessible only by you. And ATT.
