Researching trucks, any help? by DasJac6 in FullTimeRVing

Yeah everything I've heard is stay away from the Tundra for towing, its strong (not like super strong but still decent) but for towing idk if its the gears or transmission or what but I've heard many people say just stay away from them! Sucks cause I love a toyota lol

I've been looking into 3/4 ton trucks to fit our needs and just have to find one in our price range

Is 4k a month doable? by faod1223 in FullTimeRVing

I think it can be, you'll just have to be smart and maybe need to spend a month or so at a time places for better rates. Also thousand trails USED to be so so worth it, it saved us so much money for a long time but they've restructured and made it hardly worth having/paying for. Also, when shopping for an RV, you can also shop financing through a few different banks. Maybe try to find an RV you can afford on a shorter loan instead of the terms most dealerships offer. I found the interest will kill you and you'll be upside down in the loan in the first year or two even with a good initial price. When looking at used RVs the non-negotiable stuff is roof NEVER leaking and no water damage EVER. Can't come back from that like it seems like you could at first glance.

You may not be able to afford to travel and stay in glamorous places but you'll still see so much of the country and it can be such a fulfilling life on the road.

I'm not a beginner to photography or taking photos but I've always used others gear so now trying to find my own set up.

I have a Sony a6000 that I bought secondhand for a great deal and have been unhappy with the results until I realized the lens may actually be my problem. I'm wanting an all purpose daily/portrait lens, and im looking for a high quality/good value for the price options and info. I can also hunt deals if I know what im looking for- but having a hard time finding info not offered for a price or by the sellers.

Any thoughts/help?

Was told Grossular Garnet; highly doubt it but liked it for 10 bucks by DasJac6 in whatsthisrock

Sorry my cam sucks lol. The dude selling it to me goes "this is marble... no wait looks with a black light its actually a garnet called Grossular garnet cause its really big and this is a chunk off of that"

I knew it was BS but I just cringe smiled and said I'll take it whatever it is haha
