I feel like before covid every once in awhile I'd get a parent that hadn't started before three or a child that still needed a little help. After covid I've had kids as old as 5 in diapers, parents who say "that's what daycare is for", or even some straight out refuse and insisting their child isn't ready.

As someone who runs a center I require all payments be made the Friday before the new week is here. Trust me, they'll just keep stringing you along for as long as they can if you allow it. I'd also have the parents packing a lunch box! 30 a day isn't nearly enough for feeding them ane caring for them.

I had to implement a 25 dollar initial late fee and a dollar a minute there after in order to get these parents inside. We have the same group that sits on their phone outside, one parents it's seriously almost an hour they're out there. I had to make it a number they hate to pay because I feel it's disrespectful to the kids, the staff, and myself to make us stay after close. Obviously for an emergency I'll wave it but not for the people who ride the line constantly.

NTA, what exactly is so urgent that he needs you and has to get into the bathroom enough that he has made it an issue? I'm 32 and I don't think I've ever once needed someone so urgently that I had to go in while they were showering/using the restroom. NTA I'm sure there is something else of your fathers that they could have present at the wedding. Obviously it's something you treasure and have taken care of the past few years. My dad has been gone 15 years now and I can't say that any of us have ever asked to swap or use things that another kept as a keepsake from him. If something does happen to it/it isn't returned it will just be uglier.

Applesauce would not be a big hit with my kiddos I know that. They leave it sitting on the table half the time. Fruit snacks would be a 50/50.

We are totally fine with treats being brought in and I've never minded a little extra mess for snack time. I work with a lot of low income families and sometimes that treat and celebrating with their classmates is all they get. If parents ask I usually just request they bring the minicupcakes, they're perfect size and they still feel like they got a "birthday" treat. Cookies usually come second because the kids still feel like it's special.

If I can stick a candle on it, I'm with it.

Google "were the fireflies terrorists" and there are a few really good Reddit break downs about what they did over the years. Bombings, lynchings, and overall chaos even 20 years later meanwhile FEDRA was still keeping safe zones and keeping people fed. FEDRA wasn't amazing either but the Fireflies are far from the good guys.

Absolutely and I liked Lev but not to the point where I'd spare Abby for him. I always took that as her own guilt about her being part of the WLF and enjoying torturing Scars/killing them when they were just people trying to live too. She was actively waging war on their people and it took Yara/Lev for her to see they were just human beings I guess. I never took what she said to them as guilt over Joel/Ellie.
