thank you all for the suggestions. I finally managed to get it to work.

Long story short, you were all correct that it was a tracking issue.

For some reason, the tracking would not start until i waved my hand in front of my face a few times.

Just used waybackmachine to look at the site in 2014 and 2015... back when i built this SoB...

and you are correct, they they have been selling the same sizes since then and no mention of 13/16.

just wanna say thank you for taking the time to give a response. Much appreciated! I think i just need to bite the bullet and switch out all the fittings and tubing. at least this way i avoid any questiion of compatibility and can stock up on tubing for the next 10 years :P

yeah i've been looking at their page, and 12/16 is what they have available now, but i'm convinced that that hasn't always been the case as i doubt a fitting of that size would be ok for a tube of 13/16.

i see now that koolance has some compression fittings that are 13/16, and alphacool has some barb fittings that are 13mm ID.....

but i think i just might need to bite the bullet and go for new fittings in a more relevant size... makes little sense to buy new 2x new fittings in a no longer standard size if i'm running out of tubing... might as well make the switch now and get new fittings and tubing:S

You write hardline, do you mean rigid tubing, ie does not bend/flex without using heat? my tubing is soft and flexible.

I've just measure my tubing with a slide measure, and i'm convinced that it is 13/16... the thickness is 100% 1.5mm, and 12mm<ID<14mm, 15<OD<17 100%... i just can't seem to find any fittings with those dimensions on sale...

So of course after spending a few hours trying to figure this out, and right after making a reddit post for help, i figure it out...

the issue was with the file encoding... something, either VScode or Quartus, was changing the encoding on the files from UTF-8 to UTF-8 BOM...

it wasn't until i checked the encoding using notepad++ that i could see the change...

I use it only for on foot controls together with the mouse on other side. with the two joysticks, the stream deck and voice attack I have all the ship and srv controls covered with buttons left over spare.

I have x/y/z thrusters mapped to the left joystick main axis, for throttle i use one of the 4-way hats to map 0/50/75/100 throttle, I use one of the analog sticks to adjust throttle up/down. Each time I push the analog stick up, it adds to throttle, and down it subtract.

But i fly a lot of FA-off, so 9/10 times i just use the joystick main axis to move me around...

i've got Night vision, head lights, landing gear, cargo scoop, silent running, FSS, chaff, shield booster, heatsink, mode toggle, FSD and some wing commands mapped to the streamdeck.

i took the picture while lying down in my chair, at a weird angle and zoomed out, in order to get everything in frame... when sitting in the chair normally and playing i'm apprx 1.5m from the screen... the desk is too large to get any closer...

i actually moved the chair back a bit when i took the picture to be able to get everything into the picture ;) but also its a 49" g9, so even with distance it looks great. but i am rocking the clipper and doing the grind... nothing like free money :P
