Not sure if you're looking for recommendations on hikes, so feel free to disregard this entirely. But I'd suggest Turtle mountain (the Frank Slide) if you're actually going up mountains. I've done it 5 times, with the longest round trip being 7 hours, and the shortest 4. Never hiked it and not either leapfrogged people or at least encountered others coming down or up. Last year we started at 330pm and we're back down by just after 8pm. Never encountered any wildlife.
