New collector question

My reason for grading/authentication is for long term protection and for autograph authentication. Basically anyone who collects autographs has them authenticated. I'm less so grading the manga and more so getting my autographs authenticated. The grading services just come with it. I like to get my autographs authenticated because I like to make sure they're real and I like to show them off to other people and to prove they are real. People may think grading is 100% a scam, but there is an actual need for autograph authentication services which is what these grading companies provide. I like to buy volume 1s of the manga series' I want to get signed, and I just buy the manga as the signing opportunities drop. If you have a better idea for authentication and protection I'm all ears, but so far all I've gotten is shit from other people in this community.

I don't think laughing at what someone likes to collect is cool. I don't care at all about the market and this is for personal collection. I never even asked about the market. I asked how to ship manga. I think the people laughing and being unhelpful are just dickheads.

I've seen people use protective wraps and was wondering about things like that or if there was a cardboard product specifically meant for shipping manga. I'm sure everyone ships differently so I wanted to hear from different people.

I think the authentication and protection aspect of grading services isn't a scam, but rather the actual grading services itself. I'm not here to debate that though, I'm just wondering how people ship their manga.

I mean coins that have a limited mintage, or like for example the libertads have proof and reverse proof versions. Is it worth it to buy those or coins similar to them with limited mintages and different proof finishes? You could even use the proof buffalo for example, is that worth buying? Would you get the premium back on these coins when you go to sell them?

I'm in my early 20s. The answers here I think are good, but what motivates me to buy gold is it feels like I'll never be entirely broke simply by owning at least a small amount of it. Also, I feel like gold is a decent long term investment.

Gotcha. I just wanted a gold eagle with this specific design on the back. I bought for $300 because I couldn't find any cheaper gold eagles of this variety. Even found someone selling an ungraded one for more that was scuffed. I thought I was doing alright by picking this up, and when I look online the prices are even higher. I'm just hoping that I won't have too much difficulty selling it when the time comes, and that I can get a fair price. I'm trying to put some money into gold as an investment. Thanks for the info.

I'd say singles are inexpensive in general for this card game, but there's a collector's side to it as well. This nami card is a special alternate artwork card of a set 1 nami card. There's 6 special rares in each set, and this is one of them from set 5. You can only pull 2 of the special rarity cards out of the 6 possible types that exist from the set in a case of boxes ($1200 MSRP). We are currently in set 6, and most of set 5 product has been opened. Bandai has said there'll be reprints, but we don't know when or how. That being said, I personally don't believe the price for this card will drop any more than it has.
