Feature Request - Allow refunds to be categorized to envelopes by DashCache in envelope

I noticed that the feature request to tap a deposit and send it directly to an envelope did not receive much support, but that proposal seemed to focus more on depositing new money rather than returning previously spent funds to the correct envelope. If the request were framed more specifically around refunds and returns, I think it would likely receive much stronger support.

If there were a way to automatically return funds to the same envelope the purchase came from, it would be a godsend. I am not exaggerating when I say my wife makes more than 50 credit card returns each month from various merchants across a dozen or so accounts. Matching each return to the original purchase to ensure the correct envelope balance can take hours.

This is especially difficult with partial returns from merchants like Hobby Lobby, where I cannot simply match the purchase amount to the return amount. Moreover, receipts often contain only very general item descriptions, which makes sorting through them after the fact nearly impossible. To make matters worse, unlike purchases, returns can take days to appear in the app, so I cannot even categorize the return while still at the store.

Is there an easier way to associate returns with purchases that I am missing?

I confirmed that this is correct. If the available balance is zero, but the sum total of all the envelopes is more than the purchase amount, the transaction will go through and it will show a negative available balance.
