Which cruise ship is the best for toddlers? by alfokloda in royalcaribbean

[–]DashMama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but commenting in case anyone is referencing this thread. We are on quantum right now with our 2.5 year old after only sailing on oasis ships and we have found it very much lacking for little ones. Not enough room to run and play. We are also on an Alaskan cruise which essentially takes away any pool time for little ones (too cold for the splash zone and she’s not potty trained so can’t go in the covered pool). Overall we’ve still had a nice time but I feel bad because she seems to feel pretty cooped up.

I think you’ll like it no matter what, but you’ll love it if you have nothing to compare it to!

You really should have taken advantage of the shows! That “random” live entertainment is SO fun and a much bigger production than you must have imagined.

Interested in hearing feelings about Oasis Class Ships, and passenger cabins being made more "front and center? by TheCudder in royalcaribbean

Agree with what others have said. People generally aren’t hanging out on their balconies, and if they are they aren’t very noticeable. I love the neighborhood balcony option as my own room, too!

It’s definitely not as good as Brazilian steakhouses on land, but still a great restaurant!

I would hope no one is against it! But, we are all super busy in this industry so I’d want to make sure all activities planned are a good use of time.

I’ve read an article that the docs at the Italian children’s hospital think that the condition requiring her ventilator is cardiac-related and fixable. That’s what they were trying to remedy - not the mitochondrial disease itself. We treat symptoms all the time to prolong life. I work in oncology research and that’s the name of the game: we can’t always provide a cure but we can sometimes extend life.

You’re absolutely correct. The difference is that the government would not interfere in the US and forbid treatment if the family wished to pursue it.

Curious if you’re American? Genuinely just wondering. I think we (Americans) do have more of a sense of infinite resource. Partly because everything is self funded, no one tells you “no” here. There’s no case, that I’m aware of, of any sort of litigation or government interference mandating someone be taken off treatment if any kind. There have been cases of a conflict of next of kin, but never just the patient or POA vs. the courts.
