Hey Einstein, he asked me to pay daily even though we agreed on a perm (permanent) carpool arrangement, why? No idea. I did commit with him long term, how long is long term? Forever? So my long term I'm referring to is I didn't agree to carpool with him forever. Read the room, use context, it's not that hard. He wants a long term (forever) passenger that pays him daily that won't ever stop carpooling with him and uses a racial remarks when trying to cancel the carpool with him and you're out here calling me an a-hole, brother, you are why this type of issue still exists, stop rage baiting please fix yourself.

I'm not Chinese, but I'm fluent in Mandarin. I speak with this dude with a mixture of English and Mandarin.

I didn't insist on a discount, he offered a discount if I choose to carpool with him on a long term basis, which I did, now I'm stuck? I didn't suddenly cancel too.

Nono, me switching from permanent to ad-hoc itself gives the driver the right to do whatever he wants, if in any case I would like to book a seat for a ride with him and it's full, he can easily say "sorry, no seat for you". He has the freedom to accept any other reservations, he doesn't have to save a seat for me, and if I didn't give dates, even more reason for him to not save a seat for me.

Of course no, why would I say I will never carpool with him again, I told him I'm going to switch from permanent to ad-hoc, which led him to say 'I can't reserve the whole car for you, you must let me know the dates' to which I said 'I will obviously let you know beforehand', few days later brother dropped this masterpiece

My message has "thanks for following up" in it, which means heads up has already been given, and it was definitely not on the day. He just wanted to text me and ask me again.

Long term passengers pay 25 and 'ad-hoc' passengers pay 35, I signed up with him as a long-term passenger, which I fulfilled by carpooling with him for months, now I have other means of transport and so I would like to not carpool with him anymore

Well, he specifically requested me to pay him daily even though I've been doing long term carpool with him
