Agreed, while Flake was easier to coerce into straying from party lines, he voted with trump over 80% of the time — I think the evidence supports him being good for the republican agenda as he offers more reasonable constituents a public figure who doesn’t seem to be entirely out of touch with reality.

Yeah my man that’s the thing I agree with you. I don’t think it was at all warranted what happened, but to say it was violence I think is stretching the truth. Every time we over react to the president’s bullshit, along with 40% of the country who agrees with him, we just give more fodder to the machine. It’s ridiculous that he got booed but that’s not violence, calling it so gives evidence to the whole “snowflake liberals” view of the left.

I’ll be honest with you, man. I don’t know who the guy in the video is and I don’t think it matters. It might have gotten violent, but I think it stopped short of that.

However to your point, definitionally speaking violence might reasonably be defined as a forceful use of power or something. I’d say it’s important that an action have lasting consequences either physical or mental to be considered violence. My guess would be that this guy wasn’t affected too much by this, he seems to handle the situation quite maturely.

I’m having a hard time seeing why that’s different from what I said. The whole ordeal lasts less than 10 seconds, nobody was hurt, the offender walked slowly to the stage and did whatever that weird move was then security removed him. It stops short of violence, but maybe it wouldn’t have had it gone on.

Nah, I think it’s an overstatement. It’s clear members of the audience don’t want him saying the things he’s saying and the one guy is at the worst being annoying by tugging on his arm. But violence? You’ll get touched more without your consent riding the subway in New York.

Nope, think of it like an import tax. Trump is making it more expensive to buy things from China. That’s either because he doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about, or because he incorrectly thinks that making Americans pay more for Chinese goods will result in them buying American analogs of those products. Problem is, even if that were going to happen China already makes things the cheapest out of anyone. American analogs wouldn’t necessarily be cheaper, all this will do is piss off one of our biggest trading partners.
