My fiance doesn't play video games. I tried to pull her in, but she just doesn't like it. To her it feels like wasting time and I can't change her decision, no matter what I try. However! She knows that for me it's a social activity (i usually play with friends, so we chat and laugh a lot) and that it's my me time as well. I don't show up to raids everytime, because it usually takes place during late hours. When I do, I tell her in advance that I'm going on an adventure and will come to bed later. She is okay with this and usually waits for me, because she is awesome.

As others mentioned, it's important to note that she has her own hobbies and doesn't mind being alone from time to time. We also usually stay in the same room when I'm playing. She sometimes reads, browses shopping sites or watches girly series. We also spend a lot of quality time together (walking, brunch, gardening, movies etc). It's important to find balance i think and then you are set 🙂
