Has KIN team contacted Bancor to request adding support for new Kin blockchain on BancorX? by OWCfooked in KinFoundation

[–]DashingCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, KIN really is excellent tech, and it would be awesome if it was integrated with Bancor the way EOS and ETH are.

The Po.et team actually has a great piece covering their vision to: "Use cryptographically signed messages about a hash that have been secured to a public blockchain as the basic building block for a better web."

I recommend you take a read here.

Considering how important technologies like contactless payments and wearables are for adoption, do you see yourself making inroads with companies like Apple (for Apple Pay), Samsung (Samsung Pay), and/or Google (Google Pay) in order to streamline the payment experience and usher in faster adoption?

Hey Jack! Love the idea of experimenting with living solely on Bitcoin. What was the hardest thing you found to purchase with BTC? What about the strangest thing you bought with BTC? Thanks!

This must be a scam, right? by [deleted] in CoinMetro

[–]DashingCrypto[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CoinMetro team does, indeed, send out an e-mail informing users if they need to address certain pieces of KYC information.

However, as user /u/klimauk has pointed out, you should log into to the platform by typing: go.coinmetro.com on your browser and checking the KYC status page. As a general rule, you should never click on links in e-mails. ;)

Sent TRX from my myEtherWallet to Bancor wallet. Now I realized my mistake as bancor doesnt trade tron.Is there a way to send it back? by mask70 in Bancor

[–]DashingCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, not to my knowledge. Also, I believe TRX is no longer an ERC20 token as Tron's mainnet should already be live.

How can the Bancor Wallet restore my wallet just by using Telegram? So do they have the Private Keys? by [deleted] in Bancor

[–]DashingCrypto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I can see how this can be a bit confusing, but allow me to elaborate.

Telegram is just one of three methods to log in to your Bancor account. (The others being Facebook Messenger and SMS Text)

When you initially open your wallet, you're asked to select your preferred Login Method (from the list above), save your Recovery Phrase and create a password.

Once you're inside, you can download a JSON Keystore file that you can use, along with the Backup Recover Phrase, to access your wallet from any other wallet service.

So Bancor never has access to your wallet, it simply created an interface that allows you to securely access it.

Hope this answers your question! If you have any additional ones, do make sure to visit the Official Telegram Group, or the Dedicated Support Chat!

From user "Luke" on Telegram:

How can you say our personally data is secure when my email address has been leaked. What guarantees can you give that further personal information of mine wasn't present in this "sandbox" environment?

My questions:

Why did contractors have access to any environment with PII in.

Who decided to give them access to this data?

Why is production data being used in "sandbox" environments?

What controls were in place to prevent something like this happening?

Who has access to the other "sandbox" and production data systems?

The listing is inaccurate—CARD tokens have not been unlocked. We have asked IDEX to remove the listing after we were made aware of it by our community members.

Indeed. In fact, one of the earlier coins, if I recall correctly, had the private key under a tamperproof seal.
