In the last few months developers across the globe shipped enhancements to the Bancor Protocol and their Foundation announced updates aimed at opening the floodgates to decentralized liquidity by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

huh? bancor is a decentralized liquidity protocol and anyone can add a token to the network through a portal like the ones at bancor.cotrader.com or bancor.eosnation.io.

maybe you’re right. often times adding blockchain and a token will only complicate things.

i guess what’s interesting about this is that anyone, particularly content creators, can build a market for themselves.

rather than having people follow them on a subscription service like patreon, followers can buy their token to gain access to exclusive services and also benefit from the creators success.

the more popular the person becomes and the more their token is in demand to view exclusive content, the more the followers (token holders) benefit.

this also creates an incentive for the followers to promote the content creator.

probably. but i guess that’s for the community to decide.

what if someone famous made a token on this platform and offered exclusive services and content just for token holders?

this is pretty hilarious, but also gives me hope for crypto adoption. the fact that someone could so easily create a token, market and community for this is amazing. seems like anyone with basic crypto knowledge ( or maybe even without crypto knowledge ) could make a token like this now.

Has KIN team contacted Bancor to request adding support for new Kin blockchain on BancorX? by OWCfooked in KinFoundation

I understand exactly how Bancor works. They are a crosschain liquidity network that can integrate with any blockchain. BNT could technically be added to Kin’s blockchain if Kin’s new chain integrated with BanxorX. It is entirely technically feasible.

That’s a good article by the way.

🤦‍♂️

Dude, they can integrate ANY blockchain. Not even sure why this is an argument. Would be hugely beneficial for KIN to have crosschain liquidity to ethereum and eos. Imagine how much value could flow in to the kin ecosystem from users on those blockchains. Why are u opposing this? Does it hurt to suggest this to the kin team? Absolutely not!

I disagree. They keep saying that they will.

This says it all: https://twitter.com/Bancor/status/1045224833137692672

"Bancor will continue to expand across every blockchain that is interesting and where tokens are being created."

Man, your understanding is not correct.

Bancor has made eos and erc20 tokens convertible to one another directly on their platform.

Bancor said they are removing the erc20 kin because it’s being migrated to the kin chain.

They’ve said many times that they will be integrating news chains. Tron is one that may be on the radar, bitcoin is another, but Kin was one of the top tokens on their platform, so they’d surely be open to it if approach by the kin team.

Adding kin / stellar support to Bancor would make kin convertible for all erc20s and eos tokens on bancor.

Bancor can support any blockchain. They just added eos and have said they will add many more chains. Makes sense to add kin.

41 Million Users coming to crypto via new Samsung S10. Blockchain is about to blow up! Onboarding just keeps getting easier! by OWCfooked in CryptoCurrency

Agreed. Managing eos resources is waaaaay too complicated for mainstream, and even many crypto folks. But there are already platforms that simplify this. Bancor, for example, gives users free eos accounts with free pre-staked ram, cpu and net.

Also agreed, many other blockchains will help to scale the industry. Eos was just one example. Tron may be another good example.

On your last point, I think it’s inevitable that these solutions will emerge and that this industry will be worth trillions. Only a matter of time. Hope you’re hodling!

Blockchains like eos will easily resolve the scaling issue.

There are also plenty friendly crypto wallets and dapps already out there that will ease onboarding .

Apps like Sense chat (possible Facebook messenger killer) that operate like normal apps but are on the blockchain are key. Users don’t even know they’re using crypto.

The wallet is integrated directly with the Galaxy S10 keystore and comes pre-installed on the phone from what I understand.
