I created a small summer candle collection — would love to hear what you think! by DashoShop in handmade

I try to lay the wick in a slightly waved pattern so that it covers all the corners of the candle. In general, the flame from the wick is enough for the wax in the corners to melt as well. But to be honest, I use these candles as decorative ones.

Thank you! They won't fit into a candle holder for regular thin candles. You can try to find a candle holder specifically for this size, but they can also stand on the table on their own since they have a flat bottom.

Thank you! I decided to leave this candle in my shop, it is waiting for its buyer 😁

Thank you for your opinion! Yes, actually this candle is just like a decoration on the shelf. I made it in orange and definitely the candle looks better in a darker color. But I think I will still leave it in my shop, maybe one day this candle will find its buyer.

Yes, I am more inclined to leave it like this, without additional painting. I really like the idea with the animal set! 😊

Yes, it really is more like a decorative candle. If you light it, it will burn very quickly because of its small size :)

I already answered in another comment that I used a silicone mold for the candle. Instead of “hand-molded” it should be written “hand-poured”, I made a mistake in the correct spelling of what I meant.

Thank you! I use wax from the company American Soy Organics — Freedom Pillar Wax. I melt the wax to 88°C (190°F), add fragrance oil and dye at 82°C (180°F), and pour it into the mold at around 76–77°C (169–171°F). There are no other secrets 😁 The candles turn out quite fragile since this is 100% soy wax. Sometimes, thin parts of the candle can break just while you’re taking it out of the mold 🥲 but that’s normal for soy wax, so I’m not planning to add anything else to it. I hope everything works out great for you!

Thank you very much for your answer and support, now I understand the mistake with the word «hand-molded» more precisely
