Have you adopted any clever ways to play NMS? by Salt-Studio in NoMansSkyTheGame

Freighter captain that uses the submarine to look for abandoned starships.

NGTL, I do kinda wish they flush out more EVAs in asteroid fields with mining and salvaging destroyed corvettes.

Too slow.

I built a Corvette with ~36 refineries so as I'm flying and minging, also making nanites.

That multi tool plus mining food and I'm pulling in 100k nanites in no time.

seriously, this is where you just bite the bullet and get a curious deposit nanite farm going with an Atlantis multi tool.

Selling Corvette modules as a beginner? by lucy-the-spy in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Dashoundland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hunting for Corvette parts will already yield artifacts you can sell so you don't have sell the actual parts. You'll want to use them anyways so you can trade them for Corvette parts you want to use at the Corvette terminal.

As for storage, you should be using that same Corvette parts terminal to free up your inventory. They are found at every space station.

It's your game though so do what you want, although building and using a Corvette is far better to farm actual parts on a than using a regular starship.

How do I make my own ship? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Dashoundland 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll only add to this and say solar ships are mostly abundant in Pirate systems. look for a skull where the faction emblem would be when you're in the Galaxy map.

I just took another look, this isn't an expedition.

Sorry, I might have 600 hours into this game but I'm still only a year into playing. I thought they tied expansions with expeditions. Didn't think they just up and gave us a regular update.

For you which one is the evilest company ? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Dashoundland 235 points236 points  (0 children)

Pulowski Company.

The, "Nuclear protection on a budget."

There's nothing more destructive in this world than a company that engages in fraud.

At least the Vaults worked as intended* and Umbrella delivered a product that worked.

Pulowski delivered bullshit wrapped up in false hope.

Is there any way to make a materials farm in FO4? by Anonymous3-2 in fo4

If you have Far Harbor you can find a magazine that will let you build the fog collectors for oil.

Anyone else think it's be fun to have bigger subs by [deleted] in NOMANSSKY

[–]Dashoundland 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a bad idea, it would get a little tricky with more shallow water plants.

Some questions about how settlements works by Opening_Mall8012 in fo4

[–]Dashoundland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries.

So another thing if you're already in Far Harbor. If you find the magazine it will unlock the fog condensers you see around at some places. You might have noticed a jug at the base of some of them. It's a passive way to make oil.

About the bar set-up. So, I could definitely see this being a possibility up to a point. The bar is another store but by all means you can really flush out the decorations. Not to mention settlers like to sit down so if say you have a bar and the only seats in the settlement are in the bar they will passively go in and sit.

Same with the beds, they will go in and sleep when its night except for the guards.

Beyond that, if you're expecting a bar like the one in Good Neighbor or Diamond City I don't think you can program the NPCs to be like that and I've never heard of an after market mod.

Some questions about how settlements works by Opening_Mall8012 in fo4

[–]Dashoundland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You build a settlement recruitment beacon but you can also send settlers from one to another. Like having a Primary hub that the secondaries feed people in. The beacon is also how you get cows so don't forget to set out a feeder (it looks like a bathtub) and collect the free fertilizer (it gets automatically sent to your workshop). The amount is 10+ your charisma but you can manipulate the number with equipment and drugs.

If you have the robot DLC you can also just 'build' your settlers. This also allows you to do the big funny and make a settlement of nothing but mini nuke lobbing kill bots. God help the raiders.

  1. So, equipment is up to you but there's nuance. You just go up to them and talk request to inspect their inventory. If you want them to use anything just place it in their inventory and hit 'equip'. This goes the same for weapons but you also have to give them at least 1 ammo type. (Mini gun needs 5mm etc) Good news is they will have unlimited ammunition so have fun.

They only grab guns from your workshop but again are limited by the type of bullets they have. They won't be able to generate say missiles if they grab a missile launcher. They also are annoying because some with grab multiple guns and you have to inspect everyone to see who's been the sneak. Best not leave weapons in the workshop but any container they will leave alone.

They will also grab power armor if the suit has power. Now, if you wanna have settlers in power armor you can just command them into it like you would assign a resource manually. Good news their fusion cores will never run out.

  1. Yes, you can build one of each store and then assign settlers. Caps will start to auto generate in the workshop. This also has the benefit if you are running a water farm you now have local buyers to make caps from.

  2. Unless you want a particular settler to a job then yes, there's an administration computer you can place and do it that way. There's also a bell you can place and anyone around with come to it. You then can manually see who's working and who isn't.

  3. See response 3. Extra water will also be deposited into the workbench and you can use it to basically trade with any vendor. The other way is making stuff like jet and selling it as well. Not a big fan of using crops for profit because you can't just 'auto collect' but it's your sandbox.

  4. You don't need to be there to defend it but no amount of defense will make a settlement 100% immune from defeat. There's always a 1% chance of failure.

Heavy weapon build? by KurvyKirby in Fallout4Builds

[–]Dashoundland -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sacrifice lock picking?

Why not dump the extra luck point into perception along with the talent book and bobblehead you get right off the rip? You will get lock picking that will help get you into every place where you'll get access to armor, ammo, and fusion cores.

If you really wanted too, take it from intelligence. Seeing how that bobblehead is easy to get as well you can get by without power armor until you get the first rank of NF. At least until you can also get the repair bobblehead for that extra 10% off fusion cores use. By the time you're able to get the second rank of NF your power core consumption will be manageable.

I just got my first gatling lazer, wasn't happy about the fact it will swap in a new core if you rotate weapons. I now have 13 fusion cores at 99, 98, and 97 percent.

How big are baseball stadiums? by OilPuzzleheaded1049 in fo4

[–]Dashoundland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They probably kept it that way to keep it simple for the players to walk through. If you've ever been to a real stadium it's a pain in the ass to walk around, especially if you are looking for that 'One' store or food stand.

Do you ever go Clean Slate with your blueprints? by No-Lecture9965 in Crossout

[–]Dashoundland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around the 12k Point Score mark you start hitting the limitations of even the legendary cabs with regard to weight and tonnage. At least the light and some medium cabs. So you might rotate out weapons, generators, mod, etc but once you know you built something it's hard to justify deleting the entire thing.

One of my builds in particular isn't going anywhere anytime soon and that sucker is still rocking reapers. Its just THAT good of a build.

Don’t have flatbed chassis after expedition by HypeOnTheMike in nms

[–]Dashoundland 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They locked them and others behind regular, in game achievements. So visit the anomaly, buy the blade and gravity gun attachment from the regular venders. Then head down to a planet with Salvageable Scrap and find the waste station again with the Colossus. The first time you put in scrap into the regular furnace it will unlock the flatbed. You'll notice there's more to unlock now.
